Quite the contrast from Revamp and Disdain, eh? This is one of Samantha Steenwijk's songs (the woman in red) and was sung to her. Floor is my Queen, when somebody say, no way Floor can sing this, she would say, "Hold my wine" go out on stage and make to writer and original artist cry. If I were a singer and Floor wanted to cover my song, I would smile and say it is yours dear.

It is a original song from Samantha Steenwijk (the blonde girl sitting in the middle) and they always try to do covers of the "singer of the day" -- Samantha in this one

The concept of the show is that the singers take turns in singing each others songs. Each episode one singer sits in the spotlight/on the sofa, while the others sing songs from his or her reportoire, or songs that are otherwise meaningful to the singer on the sofa. In this case Floor sang one of Samanta’s songs for her. There is no competition, the idea is just to celebrate the love for music and enjoy the music together, although the singers are expected to give their own twist to the songs iow sing the songs in their own style.The last episode is the duet episode where each singer gets to choose both a partner and a song.

This was originally a song by Samantha Steenwijk (the lady in red on the central couch). She did the Nightwish song 'Our Decades in the Sun' in a dutch translation for Floor in her episode of Beste Zangers. You nailed it my friend. Tim loves Springsteen. That is his main influence. Have you checked out "10th Man Down" yet. Live from Buenos Aries 2018. A song about how soldiers deal with killing and death of their comrades in war. Great song. You as a Vet may appreciate it. I love it myself, Peace Tom!

This show is about a group of singers per season. Each single show has a singer in the hot seat and the others are singing to them. They all made a list with important songs; either from own repertoire or songs with meaning to them. While in the hotseat the are 'suprised' with the songs others chose for them from that list. No competition what so ever....just celebrating eachothers talent and succes. What i love as well is that they give their own twist to those songs Please react to 'vilja lied' (Floor sang to Henk), 'Qué Se Siente' (Floor sang to Rolf) and Winner (Floor sang to Tim)...they are stunning!!!

Dude... This entire show its pure gold watching Floor and how she amazed her show partners... Try Vilja Lied it was the very first song from Floor and the first from the show as well. You need to search the subtitled videos and watch a little bit more than the song

Floor was singing to Samantha, the girl in red in the middle. They always put the person they are singing to in the middle. If you do more from this awesome show, the duet with Henk and Emma was incredible. I do hope you will react to this one. Floor's version of Winner, is incredible as well. Great reaction!

BTW Tom, there is Northward bands song out. It is Floor's one project that has been cooking many years before NW came to her life. But she released that just recent years.

Floor Jansen is the best singer off all time. I now a lot off fantastic singers in my livetime. But she is Just in a leage off her own. She connects heaven and earth . She is indeed not from this world. So much talent in one person.

In Beste Zangers the person being sung to is on the middle sofa beside the host so this time the woman in red. I'm sure I have seen versions with English subtitles.

Tim was the former singer of the Dutch band Di-rect. If you will do a something special, then I recommend you to check Di-rect and Kensington at de vrienden van Amstel live. I promise you that you will not regret it.

Talking about great woman singers. You should check out Lara Fabian. Amazing singers. One of the best singers in the world. Songs like Adagio, Je suis malade, Caruso and Broken vow. You should check out her Lara with love concert where she sung all of those songs.

To explain the TV show: every episode one of the singers is sitting next to the presenter and the others have to sing a song for them. At the end of the show they have to pick a winner (something I personally dislike the most) This episode was all about Samantha Steenwijk, the guy next to her is the presenter Jan Smit.

I've come to the frightful opinion that there is no one like Floor Jansen in any genre of vocal music. There may be better singers, especially in opera, but Floor can do anything she wants to do with that magnificent voice. The only singer I can think of who comes near to Floor in her artistry is Jennifer Hudson. Maybe someone else can come up with a similar singer to Floor but Hudson is the one who came to my mind first.

Floor can do no wrong IMO. It's been said many times, but I'll say it here again...she could sing the phone book and I'd love it! She's so emotive and has such charisma, it's impossible to not like her. Eventually, you will have to react to ALL of her Beste Zangers performances.
