Hua Hua is a treasure that you can't predict what you will get from it. Every gain is a surprise. His innovative thinking overthrow the unchanged mainstream music. Although his singing technique is amazing but his emotional expression is more attractive. Every performance is different and unique. The more you watch his performance, the more you are fascinated. Yes, I agree, his music is inspiring.

"All music in the world has an emotion in it. Most singers like to use themselves as the protagonist. I feel that this song is for me. It is not. The voice of the singer is actually not worse than those instruments. They are the same, with the drums and bass even with such a voice (knocking a triangle) no worse." I suddenly remembered this passage. Hua Chenyu is the most spiritual and humble person I have ever seen. He did what he said in music. He did not put himself in the identity of a singer (protagonist), but placed his voice as a service for music.

OH you like New Age music? He rearranged "Heaven" in another show "The Next", in which he is one of the mentors challenged by amateurs, has to rearrange and perform assigned songs within 24hrs. In S2 Ep.2 he was assigned an about 20 years old song "Heaven", he rearranged this Mongolian song into New Age style, wrote a new flute bridge. Besides, "Giant Deer", like Bozesacuvaj80 suggested, "Giant Deer" and "Arrival" might be perfect writing background music. "Giant Deer" was inspired by a dream, where he saw a deer run through the forest, a group of angels in white are playing and dancing. I would say it's close to dream-pop. "Arrival" is a new song he composed last year, yet to be released due to some reasons. He said it's a "Chinese style" song but not the kind of "Chinese style" song we heard, but close to ancient Chinese court music. I'm just trying to give some information, don't feel stressful:))) I've already fallen in love with your reactions:)))

Besides being a musical genius and an amazing performer, Hua has the most impressive relationship with his fans! I have never seen an artist to be so honest, so warm and so unconditionally loving to his Martians! There is teasing, praising, pure love, laughter and so much joy in this relationship that goes beyond any boundaries and none of the entertainment business usual bulshit. It fascinates me that you have repeatedly said that he "conducts" his voice, and I think in one of your other reactions you said it seemed like he views his voice as just an instrument. The reason I find it so interesting is that this is *exactly* what he says. He has said many times that he doesn't see himself as a singer, but as a composer, and that his voice is just another instrument in his toolbox that he can use. I love that you caught on to that so quickly. :-)

Child was the song that made me a fan of Hua ChenYu. I happened to randomly watch this in 2018 and he just opened a new music world for me. I still get touched and breathless everytime I listen to it.

He actually didn't eat and drank water for 2 days straight just to get the clean voice for this performance, he mentioned this in the full episode at the end when they were announced the ranking of the week

Oh my God, you discovered Hua. You’re in for a ride but yes, I assume you will go through all his The Singer performances as you should. That is where many of us found him. What state are y'all from? I'm in South Carolina and I absolutely love Hua Hua. I'm learning Mandarin so I can go to his Mars Concert in China (hopefully in 2020... I need time to save some money too.) It would be fun to get a group of Americans together for a Martian adventure! 👽😃 I have done almost 100 reactions to him and he still surprises me every time. Hua Chenyu and Dimash have completely changed my world. There are a lot of great singers in the world but those two are on a completely different level. Great reaction. EVERY song he performs has its surprises. You have a long adventurous journey discovering this jewel. Be sure to look up Eng subs versions so you don't risk being blocked. There performances on "The Next", Ace vs Ace and of course Singer 2018, and after you've seen him a while, go to Superboy 2013. You will appreciate how he as evolved. Also checkout Eng Sub interviews, you will better understand where his inspirations come from and his philosophy. A child at heart (golden) but fearless in his music. On top of that such a great mentor on many shows he has participated in.

Hi Darlings, it will be great if you can starts your video with introduction of your name, as after watching a few videos of yours, I still do not know both of your name😂. I love your reactions styles than you two talk about your feelings. Hua Chenyu music is an opener for me, I had not been touch by any music like what he does for many years. Another amazing facts is Martians following him not only attracted by his vocal range, he said he is a singer that doesn't sing high note, he usually doesn't brag what he can do, his voice will change and blend into the music. He treat a performance a complete experience, he oftens not telling audiences what he want to deliver in a song, he want us to have our own pictures after listening to it. He had a sad and lonely childhood which he was neglected. His parents divorced when he was 2 or 3 years old, he live with his dad that has busy schedule. He will chase away all the nannies that his father arranged. He has lots of "alone" time that made him a deep thinker, he is very mature person but choose to live like a child. He is a performer on stage, but is shy, cheerful, a bit playful, super humble when off stage. He is also a foodie but he is super discipline when come to maintaining his weight, as he said the music should also link to how someone look as its should be a whole experience for audiences to watch and listen. He has lost more than 40 pounds since his debut. I love his music deeply as his music link directly to my feelings, not how good he sings or how high he can hit which is amazing. Hello, I am quite late to discover Hua Chenyu and your videos. I see that others have provided word for word translations. The original lyrics uses a lot of metaphors, and uses some terms that are more often seen in the rural parts of China. Some of the meanings has been lost after two layers of translations (rural phrases to standard Chinese, then Chinese to English), especially the part with repeating phrases about "going" and "coming". Here is my impression. This song is through the eyes of an working adult, and about a short trip with his/her child from the city to visit the grandparents in the country side. There are three parts. 1. Going home. He/she travels with a restless child, so innocent, so carefree. In the train, fellow passengers stir now and then, and reveal traces of of their uneasiness just like him/her. Just outside of his/her parents home, he/she ties up the shoe laces and puts up a confident smile. Cracking the door open, time seems to stop. Oh, where has all the time gone. His parents hurries to the door, "Are you home?", "You are home!", "You must be tired.", "How was your trip?". (Hua's first high note). 2. At home. Time is still. He/she holds the restless child, and looks at the tree in the yard. He/she ponders about life. What does he/she desire? What are the costs? Should he/she continue to pursue? 3. Leaving home. It's time to go. He/she ties up the shoe laces and braves him/herself to face the world. Cracking the door open, time starts to rush again. (Hua's second high note). The parents coming to the door to see them off, "Are you leaving?", "You are leaving.", "Come home again." (Hua's final high note). This is not a word for word translation. Some of lyrics are left out to keep it short, and some are added to connect the narratives. In the original lyrics, I really love the details about tying the shoe laces and opening the door. Such a beautiful piece of poetry.

If you haven't also discovered Dimash Kudaibergen, you should check him out. A lot of us who love one of these singers, love both. They're each unique, surprising you with every performance. They both are multi-talented: composers, singers with almost limitless ranges, great, versatile entertainers, and musicians who can play a large range of instruments. Both have a great fashion sense, too, although that pales against other talents. Dimash appeared on The Singer the year before Hua Chen Yu. You should begin with Dimash singing S.O.S. He was the only foreigner on the show in 2017, and the youngest contestant. They put him first as a wild card contestant, not expecting much, and you'll never see a more surprised looking audience. You guys cracked me up. I laughed so hard on that comment about the girl snacking. When I first found Hua Chenyu, I backtracked to when he first started as a singer - by winning a contest 'for fun'. Then I watched the Singer 2018 series where he was competing. I noticed throughout the Singer contests that almost every competitor in the back waiting room - were partaking with whatever product that was sponsoring the show. It is so obvious! They made a carton of milk look delicious! Then there was the cellphone sponsorship - and suddenly, they all had the same cellphones, taking pics of each other... So, the camera will always do these 'spontaneous' shots for the products by the audience or the competitors - instead of interrupting and doing commercials like we see in the U.S.

Introduce you to see his interesting interaction with fans. His fans like to let him accompany the music. So Huachen Yu plays the piano accompaniment and the fans sing, which forms a fan who grabs his work, he grabs the band work, and the band shoots the film. Interesting picture...
