Kelly’s phrasing is so characteristic & incredibly tasteful. Not only is her voice instantly recognizable. Her phrasing and musicality is just as distinctly Kelly. She’s so impressive

I have always loved her and thought she was incredibly talented. She is so humble and very dedicated to whatever she does. When she hosted the Billboard music awards the second time she was in excruciating pain but she was flawless during her long opening number. She is one of the greatest female singers of all time.🦕🦖

Yes keep on giving us Kelly. I loved her since 2002 on American Idol. Recently she hinted on her Instagram live that there will be some surprises in 2022. I think one of them is finally will be releasing her new album. Been waiting for a couple years now.

This performance gives me chills from head to toe. She is so vocally gifted and criminally underrated. I've seen her live so many times and she's even better live. Please react to her cover of Ariana's "7 Rings", Billie Ellish "Happier Than Ever", Carrie Underwood's "I Know You Won't" from VH1, or check out any of her Nashville Sessions for Meaning of Life album. Love your reactions! By the way, she said on Instagram live that she learned this song a few seconds before she sang it. Jessie, her background singer, had to conduct her from off of stage. Insane!

Great song and I adore Kelly! That girl can sing!!! Interesting comparison to Streisand and the similar control. Barbra is actually one of Kelly's idols and they both share the same birthday and lucky numbers. My dream is that they some day collaborate on a duet.

In an interview she said she didn't really know the song and that she had no chance to practice the song. Somebody was standing in front of her directing her performance. Amazing.

@@HegeOfficial Yes..."Piece By Piece" was performed live at American Idol's finale. There wasn't a dry eye in the room including the judges: a very moved Keith Urban and JLo. "Because of You" is an equally moving Vevo video that tells the story of the song's lyrics very poignantly. Hope you do do reactions to both as you see fit.

Words can't really describe how Fantastic this is!! For me, Kelly is the best singer that AI has produced (Jennifer and Carrie pretty awesome too). And as is the case with many singers, Kelly gets better with age. Along with a couple of songs from Les Mis, this is my favorite London West End/Broadway song. Sara Bareilles wrote this Wonderful song for Waitress, and her version is also Terrific. My favorite version (makes me cry the most) is from Lucie Jones' London West End performance. Have you ever lived in the States? Like spent a number of years here as a child? Can we pick someone other than Barbara to compare her belt too? Sorry, she's in the same category of blanching against as canned beets. First time I hear this song was on the Voice sung by Addison Agen and it's such a great song - and yes not an easy song to sing. Kelly does a great cover.

@@HegeOfficial Nah, that's all right, you just picked the one person who never made me a fan, not her singing and not her acting and please, don't ask me why cause I don't know why she turned out to be like canned beets (and I've got an eclectic taste pallet.). The reason about the question about the States is there isn't any accent in your English and sounds like you're a native English speaker from the U.S. It's meant as a compliment of course but you might not take it that way and I would understand. 😄

@@bertjones3010 You're certainly entitled to your opinion, but to compare Streisand to a "can of beets" reeks of a deliberate attempt to diss her, perhaps for reasons other than her talent. Unless one has a tin ear, it's pretty hard not to appreciate Streisand's vocal instrument, but I have found multiple times, that there are some who negate her as a bona-fide superstar and it gets revealed that it has nothing to do with her talent at all, and everything to do with her political views. And JFTR. Barbra is one of Kelly's idols and the two even share the same birthday.

I dislike like canned beets, which I was served as a child and repulsed by - and at this point by all beet flavored things (like beet greens). It's just one of those things - not her but yet her. And no, I will not at this late date give her another chance. She can stay a can of beets. (Honestly, why would you even bring up what Kelly likes - I didn't come to here because I'm a huge fan of Kelly, but rather Hege who's been a long time friend - at least a couple of months. And while I'll listen to Kelly because Hege is reacting, I'll never be Hege's type of Kelly fan, but I do accept that music (and art in general) is in the ear of the beholder, so to speak. I'm going against the grain, even allowing that Kelly had only just learnt the song (plus they cut it down for the segment), but this is an ok performance. I do love me some Kelly but this song has some absolutely epic versions out there. The version that is my goto is this one recorded at the end of the night having just sung her heart out during the show and she absolutely delivered. This is the version to react to.
