Lamps will impart so much invaluable knowledge and understanding in Barkley. He’s a player who can go up a good few levels, he finally has the perfect guy to teach him how to get the best out of that role.

You guys need to give him a chance. It won't be a easy ride due to his inexperience. It will take a while for him to implement his style. If he is given time , I think he will do a good job. He's a legend, so he should get the time he needs.

I personally would be forgiving of a top 6 finish. Short term pain for long term gain. Lamps is around the same age as Ferguson when he went in Man Utd and developed a whole young tea, for the future.

I wonder how much the language barrier was affecting Sarri doing an effective job. The fact that Chelsea have given an Englishman a chance at a top club (a rarity) will win the club a lot of neutral appreciation. I’m so excited about the potential of the youth players, this would not happen with a mercenary Italian manager, who is only thinking about what he can win in a 3 year contract period.
