(REACTION) Lovebites - Winds of Transylvania 

Yep, some critics thought it would be too difficult to play live. Lovebites: Hold my Saké ! They performed Winds of Transylvania on The Ride for Vengeance Tour 2021 blu ray, and knocked it out of the park.

I'm wondering, "Can I really play this live?" In the actual live performance, it is amazing because it is played with higher quality than this. Haruna's complicated double kick also explodes, Miyako actually plays the piano at the beginning and end of the song. 「こんなのを本当にライブで演奏出来るのか？」と思ってしまいますが、 実際のライブでは、これよりも更に上のクオリティで演奏しているので驚異的です。 ハルナの複雑なダブルキックも炸裂しますし、 曲の最初と最後の部分も、実際にミヤコがピアノを弾いています。

"...struggling to take it all in..." was my experience with "Winds..." and I had to listen without watching the video, a couple times, to really be able to 'get into it'. Simply overwhelmed. I heard mentioned, squeals, power-metal, thrash, high-octane, cinematic-anime-melody, technical, horror-orchestral, " METUL!!! ", galloping, "insane buildup transitions" (Haruna) - death-metal, progressive, "absolutely SLAYING it!, I'm still ... [return to start of comment] I like the way you two LISTEN and hear. Your format is excellent, imo. Timing on when you paused was perfect, listening in anticipation of your reaction to WHAT was to come ... (!) Did you mentioned classical? Maybe included with "orchestral". They put so much in one song, all arranged phenomenally, coherently, and performed flawlessly. I've never been a fan of Metal, even when I was an active musician back in the late 60's through mid 80's. I've tried some of today's metal as well, and it still doesn't do much for me. What I am though, is a big fan of LOVEBITES. And I've yet to hear anyone that plays metal quite the way they do. More than the music itself, there is, to me, an underlying sense of hope, light and perseverance to their music, as well as their look and stage presence, that are the antithesis of the metal stereotype. To me, it is a band of superior musicians with an amazing synergy that makes each one an integral piece of the whole. All of which is a kind long way of saying I don't like LOVEBITES because it fit's any genre, I like them because they simply play great music.

I HAD NO CLUE MYSELF* Regardless of that, the lovebites drummer, Haruna *please tell me if I spelt her name wrong* is one of the reasons I might start doing drums. Shes amazing at her skills. Definitely #3 on my favorite drummers. I know that may seem silly but I've always had a fixation with drummers of bands. If yall wouldn't mind, check out rising. It is very inspiring to me and made me cry as I was battling body dysmorphia and trying not to fall back into bulimia. I was reccomend it when yall did that second live performance reaction, it was beautiful and I was so happy with it. I feel like yall would need to hear it now my dears!!! Great video nonetheless!

Of all the Lovebites songs, there are 3 songs I feel the studio version is better. When Destinies Align, Glory to the World, and this masterpiece. Winds of Transylvania, as well as it's played live, just can't capture the controlled chaos and fullness of this studio version. Umm, sorry Nightwish. They are awesome, but Lovebites is just better IMHO.
