@@Mel_ForReal They actually have a history of doing songs for video games. Mostly for Remedy Entertainment whose creative director Sam Lake is friends with Marko Saaresto. Late Goodbye was written for Max Payne 2 based off a poem written by Sam Lake. War, Poet and the Muse, and Children of the Elder Gods were in Alan Wake (the latter two were original songs for the game done under the alias of the in game band Old Gods of Asgard). Their song Can You Hear Me was featured in the end credits of Remedy's remake of the game Death Rally They did the song Grinder's Blues for the game Rochard (this game was by a company called Recoil Games) Alan Wake American Nightmare featured them again working with Remedy as the in game band Old Gods of Asgard with the song Balance Slays the Demon. They also did another original song for the game called "The Happy Song" which is by far one of their odder pieces. And lastly they again performed as the Old Gods band for Remedy's newest game Control with the song Take Control. Their song Dark Disquiet was also featured.

Max Payne is a cult classic. Lucky strike for Marko, it was developped 2001 by a Finnish game company Remedy Entertainment, and his friend was involved. In the game the song is heard in radio, and then sung by other people. There's been 2 sequel games and one movie (starring Mark Wahlberg & Mila Kunis) based on the game. When one sees this song's comment section, almost every one is about Max Payne, and many of them say after they heard it in the game, they looked for the song.

@@Mel_ForReal Yes. Lyrics are actually based on Max Payne (game) creator's poem. Sadly, he's never released that poem, as far as I know. What's interesting, is that this song appears throughout the game in many 'forms'. Is played on radios, some characters are humming it, it's played during credits etc. And lyrics also fit the theme and story of the game itself. It's melancholic, about loss and despair and where desperation might lead a man. It's about saying that final 'late goodbye' to find a peace of mind and move on. It probably sounds like babbling, but it makes as much sense as describing a Van Gogh painting. So, if you'd like to find all levels of depth of this song, it's true tragedy and beauty, you'd have to play Max Payne 2. Or watch a walkthrough on youtube, one of the greatest noir thriller ever made.

Such a smart take on the meaning of the song, thanks for this reaction! I suggest you to check their recorded performance of this song during their concert in Moscow 2013 (posted in their official channel), they are stunning there! Oh what an attack to Choice Millionaire xD I really like that song personally, so fresh and it is very catchy and doped in a gig ^^ Now my request to you : please react once to the song "Signs of Life" from their "Temple of Thought" album. Pop rock song but strong and powerful, one of my favorite songs ever as many other songs from Poets of the Fall. Take care!

This song its specifically written for a game called Max Payne 2. All different genres. You should react to War next, now thats a really good song.
