Exactly as you said 'Rock With You' is a song without a rap section, however you might be surprised to know that Seventeen officially has a group of 4 rappers as part of the Hip Hop unit (Scoups, Wonwoo, Mingyu and Vernon). Seventeen is a group of 13 members divided into three sub-units of specialization: Hip Hop, Performance and Vocal. Even so, none of them stick 100% to their subunit, which means that Seventeen is made of 13 performers, 13 vocalists and 13 rappers (although in this last one some of them are more experienced than others). If you want to know more about them or their music I highly suggest to check out some guide (Super Long Seventeen Guide the most recommended and complete one) and listen not only to their title tracks but also to their bsides on the albums (here is where all three subunits have a specific song for each one). seventeen are one of the few kpop groups who are very involved in making their own music! the member "woozi" produces almost all of the songs for seventeen and the other members are also very involved in the songwriting, composing and also choreographing! the main dancers hoshi and dino also help in making the choreography a lot of times 🩷

There are 13 members! Within the group there are 3 teams: vocal team, hiphop (rap) team, and performance team (main dancers)- and so 13+3 teams+1 group= 17! A member called Woozi is the main producer for the group and makes and writes almost all their songs, so they are very involved in the music and choreography making. Although there are “teams” within the group, they are all talented across all areas, loving the reaction 🩵

OMG YALL DID IT 😭😭😭 y’all have spoiled me too much this week so now I’ve got expectations 🤣 they are under the entertainment company Pledis, but pledis is underneath the whole HYBE umbrella of companies/subsidiaries (so they are under the same company as technically BTS/TXT) Yes y’all there are 13 members!! I used to be so intimidated by the number of members but then within a night I ended up learning all of their names and I was hooked. So within the group, there are 3 subunits or groups (vocal group, hiphop/rap group, and then the performance group) so the name for seventeen came from 13 members + 3 groups/subunits + 1 team = seventeen! Y’all are gonna like them 🥹 some of my favorite songs from them include “Super”, “Hot”, “home run”, or their first full English song “Darling”. The name SEVENTEEN comes from (( 13 members + 3 teams + 1 the whole group = 17 )) What's unique about SEVENTEEN is that they divide themselves into 3 small specialized teams: 1- The HipHop unit - There are 4 members and they are responsible for the rap parts. (Seventeen's leader is in this unit) 2- The Vocal unit - There are 5 members and they're responsible for singing. it's known that all 13 can sing and each one of them has a unique voice but the vocal unit members are more experienced in singing. (Seventeen's main producer is in this unit) 3-The Performance unit - There are 4 members and they're responsible for choreographing and dancing. Just saw Seventeen's concert in the movie theater in Atlanta last weekend. A lot of Kpop groups will broadcast concerts in the US thought movie theaters if you keep up with it.

You genuinely won't regret diving deep into SVT. They honestly changed my view on Kpop and music as a whole. Start from their debut so you fully understand how hardworking and deserving they are of our attention and love.

I really liked your reaction. As you could hear, all of them are singers. 4 of them are part of the hip hop unit. I saw that a lot of comments explained the units. Woozi produces 99% of the songs and Bumzu (their vocal trainer in their trainee years and an artist under pledis) composes 99% too. He is like the 14 member. Although Hoshi has a say in the choreos, they have a great team, with choreographer Choi Youngyun making the majority of their choreos. (Members are really working non stop, they can't dedicate enough time to make choreos, they are human.) All members write and have a heavy hand in their songs. But let's not forget the team that are working with them since the beginning. ❤ ah, and Woozi once said that the company does the part distribution in the songs. He already produces and directs the recordings.

Woozi is in charge of the arrangements and he create ans produces their songs so I'm pretty sure that while he composes it he knows in his mind which member is the most suitable. If you guys really want to get into seventeen, I'd recommend starting with their earlier stuff so that you can kind of understand how they got to who they are today. Like Adore U, Pretty U, Mansae to start! Cuz their most recent ones are amazing but you definitely don't want to miss out on their early stuff.

Also every member is multitalented. Like rappers can sing, dancers can rap, singers can write the music. Like everyone is so talented. I'm sure you'll hear that Woozi, the shortest member, is their composer and producer, as he writes basically every single song of theirs. Hoshi, with the black hair at 10:13 choreographs a lot of their dances too.

if we’re talking about choreography and dancing, they are genuinely the best in kpop! all you have to do is watch a dance practice/choreography video/award show performance - having so many members should be kinda burdensome considering their heights and different abilities but they all move as one and it is so COOL bc the synchronicity is insane! they’re all amazing dancers, and you can pinpoint their different styles yet they still manage to show a perfect performance coz they’re all just that good😭one of their choreographers once said that he doesn’t have to worry about putting members in the centre bc they’re all just perfect!

The reason behind the name is 13 members + 3 units (vocal, performance, hip hop) + 1 team = Seventeen I highly suggest you guys check out the 'Dingo killing voice' of Seventeen. That was amazing!

Rock with you was actually filmed in quite a rush, the album came out only 4 months after their latest album and they had to learn the choreo quickly because the two Chinese member were scheduled to spend a couple months in China. This was also during covid. But that doesn't mean it wasn't worked OK thoroughly and I'm not too sure in which time frame woozi worked on the songs cause he must've worked before or right after their album dropped and all those promotions. Anyways I really recommend super cause it's a different vibe and they try a variety of genres, it was released this year and did great.

Seventeen is an amazing group! They are a self producing idol group. They write compose choreograph most of their music. You are right there are 13 members… and yes they are called Seventeen. This song didn’t showcase it, but they do wrap. They are split into 3 sub units: Hip Hop unit, Performance unit, Vocal unit. They have one of the most eclectic discographies in KPOP. Suggestion is to watch their Killing Voice on Dingo. They sing snippets of some of their hit songs. And then watch the super long guide from Caratline.
