I just can not get over the raw emotion and range this man has poured into this song. Felix gave us such relatable lyrics and expressed them with completely raw emotions. I cried when I first heard this bc in some ways we have all been through this and it's just a beautiful song😭💔 BTW Felix told us not to listen to it that much cuz it's a depressing song😂😂😂😭
Felix said he wrote this while he was on a walk(or at a park something similar) , there are many sides to felix not just with his voice but his personality as well, he's a pretty emotional person. There are no music videos for any of the new skz replay songs, (fam has a mv but it isn't a new song it's just redone in korean, btw you watched the old version)
Fam got updated with the SKZ-Replay release. And it differs from the Japanese release as well. Watching you listen to Deep End was a treat. It was about my reaction as well. But I had the added advantage of hearing his mid range in a few V-live songs. And if you listened to Taste, you already heard his high falsetto at the end. Felix started & finished Taste. A lot of lyric videos credit the last line to Hyunjin, but it's Felix. I do think that at his core, Felix has a bit of a somber outlook. Despite his sunny & playful demeanor, he has a very down to earth outlook. In the Intro to Maxident, when they were talking about the title song, he said it's vital to remember where they came from. He quoted Hellevator's line "My life's at rock bottom's cliff" as his mindset. So, yeah. Felix has always had a depth to him that gets overlooked because of his happiness. I think his early training years & the Survival show left scars on his heart that we don't really realize are there.
Fam, to me, is such a "concert-song". The whole vibe and fun screams concert to me. So I love the new MV for the Korean version. I can watch that MV a lot. Makes me smile and vibe with it every time. Felix....Deep End....loved watching you listen. It clearly touched you. Not only did he sing it so beautifully and with such range, the lyrics are so relatable. Whether you relate it to a lost partner/lover, or a lost friendship like you, it hits home. I have to admit I cried when I first listened to it. And its hard to think of Felix feeling "all alone in this world". But whether its based on a real situation or he's taken inspiration from something...I know that there must be more to him than simply happiness. Anyway , loved your reaction and really like how you search for more content on the spot. Non-music content: two kids rooms are amazing, and of course Skz code episodes. Those are hilarious.
Regarding FAM, the interesting thing about Stray Kids (you may have read it in the guide you watched, I don't remember) is that Bang Chan selected which members he wanted to debut with, so being close/like a family is definitely a part of their formation and brand (as in that's their identity and marketing point, not that I think it's fake, I think it's definitely clear they are really close!) For the other replay songs, I wonder what you'll think of Lee Know's Limbo! Felix's and Lee Know's songs surprised me the most, probably because they're the ones we've heard sing solo the least.
I have been though something similar with a friendship I thought would last for years - my whole life, even - and then one day it was gone. Not by my choice at all. And it was devastating. So I got teary-eyed listening to you talk about the friendship you lost. I could see Felix's song really affected you. But I notice, too, that after you shared your story with us, you re-played FAM and just sat there, not talking much. I think you did that because, as you said, it's about a close bond and it's a delight to listen to. Watching your face in that moment, I think FAM helped ease your heart a little bit. I hope so, at least.
It's interesting because Felix is mostly known for his happy bubbly 행복이 personality, but I think he also feels some of the darkest thoughts and emotions out of the members. He often gets morbid even in casual conversation. Like, in an interview he did with Chan earlier this year, Chan was jokingly mentioning he was thankful to wake up this morning (meaning he was tired or might've overslept), and Felix agreed but went on a tangent about feeling grateful he wakes up at all. Even Chan looked at him weird and said "you good bro?" hahaha. I don't think there's anything to be worried about I just think Felix feels all emotions to an extreme. He has a hard time not going to the deepest or darkest possibilities. In a different show with Hyunjin he even said that Hyunjin gave him another reason to live, but sometimes it's too much he gets too worked up about it and needs to calm down. Idk I personally don't experience most emotions or connections with people so intensely so it shocks me sometimes how deeply he loves his members. His friends and family too I'm sure.
I think you would enjoy the rest of the solo songs from this album. They really show a lot of their individuality. I think Fam they only first sang it at the Philippines concert as far as I remember. I like to think Felix is like Han and can get inspiration from anywhere. I prefer not to think of any of them being heart-broken 🙃 At the same time, I don't like to think of them being pressured to always be sunny. The Two Kids Room (latest 2022 season and the older seasons) are very informative and funny. SKZ CODE is pure entertainment 😁 I have never been fond of ASMR, but Felix sends us quite a lot on Bubble, and has done a few official ones and I quite enjoy them. Bubble has also got us used to his range. Do you ever think of taking the first step and re-establishing contact? Sometimes the other person also thinks you don't want to hear from them. I got a 'butt-dial' from a number I did not recognize a few years back. I did a reverse check on the number and saw it was an American number (we live in South Africa) and eventually tracked it down to a friend of my Mom's. The strangest thing was that they did not have my number saved in their phone either. 🤔
Adding to my first comment.... Bang Chan performed a solo that is very raw and emotional. It's called "I Hate to Admit", and it's about losing someone because of a lie. Es todo Félix, incluso no me sorprendería si también tocó el piano él mismo ya que sabe usarlo. Lo que pasa es que es sabido que Félix no tenía confianza en su propia voz, se ve que a estado experimentando con sus otros tonos. Más que nada refleja muchísimas emociones que llegan al auditor, se trate o no de algo personal, cualquier persona se puede ver reflejado en esta canción. Gracias por la reacción
