This is the main Midnight song that breaks me down the most. Just guts me. I have to listen to We Move Forward by them after it to pull me out of it... if the hurt is too real. lol Brutal divorce will do that.
@@JonathanBelle Just so you know i love the song. lol Its just deep with the feels. Know what im saying? Sometimes we need to cry. This song makes me go there. Its medicinal.
@@JonathanBelle I appreciate that man. It was the upgrade to my system that i needed. Suffering and hardship makes us better humans. If we work through it. Synthwave is just that to me. Its dark when i need it. Its really motivating when i need it. Its just perfect for guy like me.
@@JonathanBelle you're starting to become a regular in my day, man. Keep up the good work. I've got a recommendation for you. "Hold My Weight" by Crozet.
This song is one of my top favorite song of the midnight. Here is the list: - Los Angeles - The Comeback Kid - Memories - Sunset - Bend - America 2 - Lost and Found - Light Years - Jason - Dance with Somebody - Brooklyn - Lost Boy - Vampires - Days of Thunder - Gloria
It's been a while since I listened to the album, I thought Bend was ok. But my favorites from Endless Summer would have to be Nighthawks and Lonely City
I'm really loving your constant development of visual design with your videos, making them look as retro as possible. Keep up the great videos my friend. May I suggest another track? At 1989 - Missing You
This song is an absolute dream. Strongly disagree with anyone who thinks this song is their worst and The Midnight is wrong to not give this song the credit it deserves. I get some people only like the fast, harder synth type songs but it's their fault for not liking diversity in their synth, y'all need to Bend a bit. With all do respect of course.
Would love to see reactions for The Midnight - Nighthawks The Bad Dreamers - How to Dissappear The Bad Dreamers - Saltwater The Bad Dreamers - Somewhere in This City Kavinsky - Zenith Starcadian - Gutter W O L F C L U B - Sway Love what you do, man. I've probably watched every video you have lmao.
The Midnight, September ‘87, Ollie Wride, Gunship. These are kind of our pillars. I can always come back to them and feel the same way every time - transported back to my childhood in the 80’s in South Florida. What a time to be alive.
Now watching this genre begin to penetrate mainstream iconic movies, seeing artists grow and evolve, it’s simply been a pleasure. Every evening I’m Synthwave and Chillin’.
Another overlooked gem by The Midnight. Very chill tune. I would really enjoy hearing this in concert some day. Endless Summer is still my favorite album they've released so far.
@@JonathanBelle Yeah I mean all their albums are fantastic but to me Endless Summer is virtually perfect. And the title track was the first Midnight song I ever heard.
@@JonathanBelle Its funny about that song Vampires cause initially when I first heard it I wasn't too crazy about it. But after hearing it again when I saw them in concert it grew on me big time. Now its one of my favorites. Same thing happened with Crystalline.
I feel like this song describes someone who's always felt anxious attachment or insecurity in love who finally finds the one who makes them feel safe. The loving understanding partner who when they 'bend' and come together, it 'mends' the anxious heart.
I wonder if I can also make a suggestion? Have you listened to anything from Le Cassette? My recommendation is "This is all we know" or anything from him. Liking the content so far man.
Funnily enough this was the 2nd song I'd ever heard by the midnight after prom night, i didn't realise it was a relatively unknown track of theirs but it confirmed my intrigue after prom night and wanting more of them 😃👍
Great video man. This song was such a gem to discover on the 5 year re-release of Endless Summer. Comet was cool too, but I just love Thomas’s tenor playing on this, especially at the end. He’s such a nice guy too, I’ll sometimes to reach out to him on instagram and he’s always uplifting and encouraging. It’s awesome when great musicians are also good people. I gotta record a cover of this sax solo
Hey Jonathan I hope you are keeping safe. Change of subject here and back to the Killers. I say I have all their albums but that's not strictly correct. The one i don't have is "Don't waste your wishes" the cd version is for sale on e bay for 175 British pounds so that's far too dear. Anyway luckily all the tracks appear on you tube and i was wondering which one is your favourite. Whilst I think they are all great my favourite is Boots followed by Joel the lump of coal and then Christmas in L. A. Looking forward to hearing from you.
Sorry I for me this is the Midnight's worst song...There is a good reason it is not on any of the albums and you really have to dig around RU-vid to find it. There is also a good reason it is not on the physical Days of Thunder album. Tyler and Tim never talk about it and to my knowledge have never played it at any live show, It also isn't on their band camp...but neither is Lost and Found so there's that. The Song is too slow it needs to be just a little bit faster and while Tyler is a good singer. He just does not sing bend well at all IMO to me in that song he sounds whiny. I do think if they wanted to redo the song in a different way now it would be fine, but this song was EARLY EARLY The Midnight and you can tell.
