the big thing with what makes there stuff sound so good is most of there songs have a simple chord progression that has beenused in alot of different pop and other genre songs as the backbone of everything. they really are genious with what they do. the way they add and pull space to the song really adds to it too. to be able to not have vocals and still draw you in like that with all the different layers and very difficult guitar parts i dont think would be possible if they didnt have the simple chord progressions to follow and make sound so good. i saw them live a few months back and they killed it live too. these guys have so much talent and put so much work into what they do they really deserve all the credit theyve been givin so far which i think isnt enough.
Yeah, there are probably thousands of top tier gutarrists out there, able to shred as good as these guys, but usually those highly trained dudes and dudettes play for an audience of likewise trained people who know and can appreciate all the technicalities and nuances without being bothered that it's just a tech showpiece and not a song anyone can bop along to.
I like to think they named it ego death and featured one of the guitar legend GOATs. Putting respect for the ones that came before them while still preserving their true sound. Almost saying that we respect them paving the way yet we will continue down our own path.
thanx for your reaction! if you also want to hear and see something else extraordinary, then please react to: JINJER - Vortex (Official Video) lovely greetings from a german musician
You got me thinking what the perfect match vocals over this song would be like .... Hannah Reid collab? hmmm on it's own a masterpiece, but interesting thought
Please react to their song Nightmare, it's one of polyphia's best songs, and add The Great Calamity (Chalenger Deep) to your reaction list please ... I think you'll like it
