REACTION TO Boston - Feelin' Satisfied | Album Best? 

The most underrated Boston song. Never fails to make me happy.

This is over 40 years old and still sounds great.

Saw Boston in 2014. This was the killer song of the night. Boston had 5 guitar players + bass + drummer. What a wall of sound.

This might be my favourite Boston song next to More Than a Feeling. Played this on repeat for days

Tom Sholz created the "Boston" sound in his basement while still working for Polariod in the seventies. He engineered and mixed the first album there after their label decided to give them a shot. The engineer they hired did his thing but Tom didn't like how it sounded so he fixed it his way. There's nothing like the "Boston" sound. The guitars, bass, drums, keyboards and vocals are unique.

under rated in the pantheon of Boston songs. Killer riff, double claps, harmonies.

This is the music popular in my glory days! I love Boston! I won't say they're my favorite but they're way up there. Maybe 3rd. And yeah, it's as infectious as the flu. I've never heard a bad song from them and I've heard them all, so maybe that gives you an idea. Most bands would put an emphasis on one instrument or another. Not Boston. Their guitar and drums were both hot and heavy on every song. Have you heard More Than A Feeling? You really should. And hell yeah it has to be loud!

You can point on a red bar back to exactly 2:28, or wherever your favorite part started. FANTASTIC. In my young days, we had to walk uphill through the snow to rewind to our favorite part of a song -- BOTH WAYS! 8-track tapes had no rewind at all. You had to wait until the whole thing came around to hear your song again -- 30 to 45 min. AAARGH!!! I remember lifting up the tone arm on my turntable and trying to drop it on just that spot -- never got it right first try. As frustrating as cassettes were, at least there was a counter you could glance at, then rewind back. That was better.

Most if not all Boston songs are in major key, which gives the band a happy, joyous feeling. 70s guitar rock band songs are predominantly minor, ambiguous, and later augmented or diminished.

Tom S is the undisputed master of the infectious catchy guitar riffs. Has at least one in every song.

That is one of my favorite Boston songs and to me it feels more like it should be on their first album which is the one that I like by far the most. But yeah, it's a banger. And it's beautiful all at the same time.

I ruined a lot of Jensen 6x9 Triaxx II speakers cruisin' to this song in my "69 Cougar when this song came out! Turned it up as loud as it would go!! Still my favorite Boston song of all time.

This whole album is programmed drums and that's the one thing I think doesn't let it stand up against the first up. Still great production composition arrangement. Just cannot NOT feel those program drums. But I love it love it love it overall

I can see you’re really enjoying these two Boston albums, Salvo G. They truly are terrific and worth every bit of the hype. That said, I have to say that when you get to the third album, you might be in for a little disappointment. That album has a couple good songs but nothing on the level of the first two Boston albums. All in all, it was a major disappointment. Had it not been for “Amanda” and “We’re Ready”, which you really do need to react to, that album would have never gotten any attention. A third of the album isn’t really even songs, just uninspired interludes to fill space and the rest of the album suffers from reverb soaked Low T AOR. Being a teenager in 1986, and loving the first two Boston albums, the third album was overshadowed by the Hard Rock and Metal of the day. In all honesty, time hasn’t been as kind to it as it has to the first two. Not being a jerk, that album just was lousy but, you might like it so I don’t want to disuade you from keeping up the track-by-track for Boston.
