Baker never really got hot, the Browns just flat out blew coverages. Newsome doubling the flat and letting Robby Anderson run free was egregious. This defense has too many blown assignments playing zone.

It will be nice to have a "normal" game next week without weird story lines or controversy.

People thought I was crazy when I said that the Browns should draft Cade York, they were saying you don't have to draft a Kicker. But you do draft a Kicker if you don't want someone else to get him before you. The Cowboys were planning on drafting Cade York in the 5th or 6th round, but Andrew Berry beat them to the punch and drafted him in the 4th round. This pick is already paying dividends, because the Browns would have lost this game last year if it came down to a 58 yard kick. I think the Browns will be playing in a lot of 1 possession games this year, and the kicking will make the difference in some of those games.

Not many fans were happy when Cade was drafted. I definitely was. Kept thinking about McPherson & the Bengals. A lot of games were won by field goals last year by quite a few teams. I’ve always believed that the kicking game makes a HUGE difference in a teams overall W-L record. Having a leg like Cade on the roster should go a long way toward tipping those scales in our favor!!

Jacoby Brissett did NOT miss his WRs by much and the WRs were mugged all game, he should be better by game 2 or 3, BUT they had to win that game...so one winless record broken, a few more must be done this year, Jacoby will do a Nick Foles ...

Defense needs to play much better. Too many mental mistakes for players this talented.

Honestly Baker didn't get hot we just lost focus and missed our assignments on defense and left receivers wide open but we can't continue playing like that.

"Run the ball down every opponent team's throat!" That's the winning 2022 Browns strategy that will sustain us into the playoffs. Coach Stefanski needs to settle down and do a better job of adjusting offensive play-calling strategies while the game is unfolding.

Of COURSE it makes sense to draft a (good) kicker in a higher round -look at the Bengals last year: they drafted McPherson and he was amazing and helped them into some serious wins down the stretch (almost even beat Green Bay going back and forth in OT with missed kicks). If Cade York is as good as "💰 McPherson", or the potential to be even ALMOST as good as Justin Tucker, then they got a hero on Special Teams.

The Browns biggest and most obvious flaw is their deep pass defense and it was almost their undoing. Delpit, Harrison and Johnson made the D-Backs look like high schoolers. There is NO REASON to have simple patterns, in obvious situations, result in players running free and easy through one's secondary. And the tackling, oh boy! I've seen better 6th graders tackle! I would gladly come to a Browns practice and show these YaHoos how to square up and hit and wrap up a ball carrier. They should be ashamed of themselves. And finally, although I commend DPJ for his clutch catches throughout the game and Swartz clutch catch at the end; there were times that the Browns receivers should have been sued for non-support of Brissett for dropping easy on target passes. It made him worst than he really was. Hey Coach (Stefanski) teach your QB and his receivers to go "beyond the first down" before you attempt a third down pass. The Browns are not as BAD as the national sport media portrayed them to be last week. They could be a juggernaut if they realize that the One-Two punch known as Chubb & Hunt could be more devastating if their play caller would unleash them and that monster offensive line early and more often. Thank you for finally using "The Avalanche" backfield Coach! Those boys "ROCK!" PS: Jedrick Wills, Jr. got embarrassed on T.V. with his pass blocking!! Baker didn't do Baker things. We blew coverages. 3 of them. Take those 3 plays away and he had 85 yards passing, minus 4 sacks...even less.

Baker did Baker things like playing like sh!t for 3 quarters and then trying to play catchup in the 4th quarter. Sometimes it works but sometimes it doesn't. His inconsistency is why he was let go.

NEWS FLASH THE DEFENSE NEEDS TO Play lights out any Great NFL team that won a championship all have one common factor “” DOMINATE DEFENSE””. This is why we have great depth along with the quality of the player’s. This defense is stacked just lacking great DT which needs to be addressed if we really want to take a run for our first “”” SUPERBOWL””” We need some quality deep strength and depth right now we can get them at the right price RICHARDSON EVEN Ndamukong Suh. We would have to make room and I know a RB that can go DJ and I’m sure we can let another slide to make room for two bodies that can play along the line in the defense. Keeping them fresh rotating often. This defense could dominant and help carry us to the promise land. Every great NFL TEAM ALL HAVE TBE SAME STORY AND THE SAME SAYING. THE DEFENSE WINS CHAMPIONSHIPs simple.

That kind of play is not sustainable! Carolina is not considered a playoff team. All the second half was a disaster. I believe Kevin is on the hot seat. Passing on first down consistently was ridiculous. He was passing to setup the run! It wasn’t Baker in my eyes (Sorry Baker), it’s Kevin. Brickett (pun) isn’t worth a backup spot.
