Reaction to Dragon Ball Z Abridged - Buu Saga Part 1 [TeamFourStar 4K]

Favorite singular line has to be "Listen to me Kakarot, I'M USING HIS FUCKING NAME!" Because that was the first time DBZA Vegeta ever said Krillin and not a midget/bald joke. But the culmination of Vegeta's character and the abridged series as a whole, put into the Final Atonement scene. It's by far the best scene in all of DBZA. Vegeta realizes he messed up, like with Cell, but this time he knows that he can do something about it. He knows if he doesn't, Trunks and Bulma are going to die. He has his resolve, and asks Piccolo if he'll get into heaven, already knowing he'll be sent to hell or reincarnated. Yet this time, in the face of death, Vegeta marches forward. His last attack, befitting of his rivalry with his Best Buddy, he hits Buu as hard as he possibly can. The final Vegeta moment: "Vegeta... Yes" God I love this series.

I believe the explanation for Babidi not knowing of Buu's nature is as he says. He's a clone of Bibidi and thus probably only has hearsay of how scary Buu was for an image

Slight correction here for those saying Krillin's Ex and his daughter have the SAME name (re: They don't): Krillin's ex in the anime was called Marin (Japanese spelling for 'Marine', in reference to her blue hair). Krillin's daughter is called Marron (meaning 'chestnut', because Krillin's name is a pun about chestnuts). However they are pronounced very similar, which is why in Dragon Ball Super 17 trolls 18 by pronouncing her daughter's name wrong.

Remember, Buu's true form was 'Kid Buu.' He only became 'fat buu' after absorbing the grand supreme Kai. Bibidi may not have seen him after that because he was sealed away shortly following that.

you didn't really react to Gohan getting uncomfortable about Krillin's daughter Marron, but to explain, it's because Krillin's ex was named Maron, so Gohan was assuming that he named his daughter after his ex without telling his wife. in dbza canon, his ex was not only a gold digger but worked for the government and turned him in for millions worth of insurance fraud.

Man, Vegeta's sacrifice always had me emotional, but calling Goku "Best Buddy" hit me in a whole new set of feels

Sharpner, the dude that in this Abridged loves both Gohan and Videl was just the typical jock in original, macho and nasty to book nerd Gohan. The one you might confuse him with is Jewel of Mr. Satans tournament in Babidi saga who though a casanova making his move on #18, seemed more effeminate. And Caroni, the disciple of Mr. Satan totally was if not gay, wiggling his hips during poses.

Marron was the name of Krillin's ex, so Gohan was concerned for why Krillin named their kid after her.

Before, i always watched DBZ Abridged and got nostalgic for what it was, now, i'll watch those new bits and get sad for what it could have been...

The thing with Android 18 is that she and 17 were once fully human, but Dr. Gero experimented on them. Android 18 was able to have the ability to have children and everything again because Krillin wished for all the explosives and whatnot to be gone from her body. It's kinda the reason Shenron couldn't wish her to be human again because technically she still was. On the topic of Babidi being a clone, he was. Babidi is a doppelganger of Bibidi, making him his "son" in a sense. Whenever Bibidi needed assistance, he would split into multiple people & split his magical power between them. Babidi was one of the clones, and when Bibidi was killed by Supreme Kai, Babidi remained and inherited all of his original self's power (and probably a good portion of his knowledge too). This explains why Babidi didn't know what Buu looked like before Bibidi sealed Buu away.

Gero might have left it in for a literal sexbot. He did expect 18 to be obedient afterall. Always questioned why the old man didn't build himself a younger body. Although some people think android 13 was suppose to look like Gero in his prime.

Kid buu is the original form of buu, who was in fact, very terrifying, and was probably the source of all the stories that bibidi had heard. Fat buu was like this because he absorbed the leader of the supreme kai's. A lot of what bibidi heard came from the current supreme kai, who was mostly suffering PTSD from having his friends and family killed and absorbed, so every part of buu, kid or otherwise was just an over powered nightmare.

The "full release" would be Totally Not Mark's review of the Buu Saga, which all of these clips were made for. Part 1 is out now, and Part 2 is coming soon.

Been a while but i'm pretty sure that bibbidi expected to summon kid buu but didn't know that buu had absorbed the Kai.

Babidi is a clone, he wasn't around for the Buu events. He was likely expecting the original Buu kid buu, which was cold and destructive, so he was confused since he didn't have knowledge of any of Buu's absorption forms. After Bibidy sealed fat Buu and sent him to Earth the Supreme Kai beat Bibidy... so there was never any time to tell Babidy about it. Edit: also why it took so long to find Earth, only the Supreme Kai knew where Buu was.

@18:14 a good head canon i like for why this is is cell has one specific organ that help's him regenerate like piccolo does [probably the same one]. he can probably move it from place to place in his body which is why even when he blew up he didn't die because he spat it out before hand, but buus like majin buu are pure magic they have TRUE regen and can grow back from even just their spit on the ground or even an atom of them that is left. like i said its a head canon but its one i like. one has a namekian organ that's on overdrive, the other has true regen.

To explain the context for why these aren't on tfs channel its cause these are clips made for a RU-vidr named TotalyNotMark review series in been doing on all of the DragonBall series starting with og and he made it too the buu arc and he asked tfs too make a clip for him too use, and they decided to give him all these clips that they never got to put into actual full epsideose of the series cause copyright is a bitch, but yeah there's alerently 24 clips they gave or something and this is just the first set of them sense the second part of the review for the buu arc is not out yet

I actually have a theory on Buu surviving. For Cell, it was as long as a single cell exists,he comes back...for Buu, i like to think as long as his Ki remained in the air he could regrow. Also debated if he had his own sage mode essentially since his power never ran low. I now know it was because he had the big Supreme Kais God Ki.

Okay i could be wrong here BUT i believe kid buu is actually the base form and it was because he absorbed the kais that he gets what we see as fat buu.

18:00 smoke thing? what are you talking about? Cell's self-destruction was programmed to leave his core piece (whatever that was) safe. And Gohan just overpowered that thing. And Buu is a great force of destruction that can mold his own matter and survive as tiny specs. He can control every single particle of himself. Also, magic. Even though Piccolo just sliced through Babidi's body with one swing of the arm, Babidi's magic shield was strong enough to survive Vegeta's self destruction.

Unfortunately not really back. But I'm glad some ideas are finally seeing the light of day.

As I recall, the whole reason Buu looks like that at the beginning is because the last person he absorbed before being captured was Shin's mentor, who was a plump goofball who looked almost exactly like this version of Buu. Best guess is Bibidi didn't have time to write about what Buu became before being defeated

14:14 Well, we dont know if Bibidi left any text behind, or if he died before he could leave any. If we go by DBZ canon, Buu has just had a very dramatic change to his form before either falling asleep or being locked away, whatever the reason Buu became sealed again. If we go by DB Super canon, Buu is actually a primordial force of the universe, created along side it, and the original "force of destruction" before Gods of Destruction were a thing. Bibidi only harnesses his strength. It would be understandable that Bibidi and babidi dont know everything about it.

Shin wasn't even aware of Babbidi's existence until recently. I always assumed Babbadi was just a baby or something when Buu got sealed. And he had to spend the intervening time learning magic and learning the secret to reviving buu, but he clearly didn't have all the information. I don't think he got any help from Bibbidi.

That wasnt buu's true form, that was the more innocent and gentile form he took on after absorbing Dai-kaio back in the day, and because he was so...silly and carefree bibidi sealed him back up and was killed in the process. so Bobidi had no clue what he was hatching with the buu ball. Kid Buu is the real buu.

about Majin Boo, you need to remember that Fat Boo is not Majin Boo OG form, any text write by Bibidi about Majin Boo will probable describe Kid Boo, any legends about Majin Boo will be about Kid boo, in the past Majin Boo was Fat Boo for a very short time until Bibidi decide he was too hard to control and sealed him, right after the Kaioshin killed Bibidi.

RE: Android 18 being able to have kids. Krillin used a shenron wish to turn the androids back to human, but keep their powers.

They definitely made the joke that Marine and Marrron sound similar, which being Krillans ex girlfriend who destroyed him and his daughters name. Not quite same in spelling, but hot damn do they play the joke super hilarious. Had to hear it twice to get it myself but Holy Christ I could not sop laughing when it clicked.

For Abridged lore and canon, I feel it was "Let's screw the future generation of magicians" (or future magician I think, I forgot about the texts and stuff so may have it very wrong) so Babidi definitely got a middle finger and was played. (Maybe not)

in regards to the guy being gay at 2:00, Curtis (Kaiser), Lani and takka are all gay (one being a trans who apologises non stop for jokes they made). Basically nearly everyone on their show was made to be gay.
