Amazing to consider that Elvis was incredibly nervous pre-show and worried that he was no longer relevant and no longer had "it". Yet, once in front of a crowd, his natural charm, good looks, big voice and charisma won everyone over immediately.
I'm 80 years old and I still love Elvis. The truth is, Elvis' first love always was gospel music. He grew up singing in church, and rock n' roll was just something he did for a living. After his concerts, he would insist that all his musicians and backup singers gather with him around a piano (which he played quite well) and sing gospel songs, often until 5 o'clock in the morning. Early in his career, he once cried when someone said his performance was vulgar. He insisted he would never do anything on stage that he wouldn't do in church or anything he thought would embarrass his mother. He truly was a decent, respectful, God-fearing man.
im 21 and Elvis is my favorite Artist i love him and love his music im so Jealous of the people who saw him live back then i wish i could met him and i wish i coulda been friends with him yeah i like him that much
The GOAT, always and forever the King. Adorable and talented, kind and generous, soul and heart. You guys do great Elvis reactions. More, more, more, please!!!
OMG , Elvis in his black leather ... you've made my day !!! Oh, and he was singing too LOL ! At age 78 , I still get the same thrill I did when I first saw him at age 12 ... he is still the man ! TCB forever !
Elvis set the standard by which all other artists are measured. How many times has an artist with any sort of success get compared to Elvis or deemed the next Elvis even if that's never going to happen since he is one of a kind. A true master makes very difficult things seem so easy and that's what Elvis did as a performer. So many others use a lot on stage to impress the audience but Elvis did little things that were so impressive that puts the rest to shame.
If you had to design the perfect rock star well there he is...looks, hair, voice, outfit and stage presence.... every other rock star should be grateful that Elvis exists because without him the music industry would be so different today...great reaction
You cannot put into words What Elvis makes you feel When He Sings / Performs / It's Just Magical... He Connects With Your SOUL!!!!! A Trailblazer!!! Ahead Of His Time!!! T I M E L E S S --------- 🔥🔥🔥🔥
I love this man, who was flawed as we all are in one way or another. When I was about 16 and lived in Memphis, my younger sister and I were at the gate to Graceland. A couple of the members of Elvis’s entourage were talking with us. They invited us to a party that night that started at midnight. Elvis usually rented out a movie theater or the amusement park for his late night parties, as he couldn’t go out during the day. Unfortunately my mom said absolutely not. I could have had a very special memory, but if I were mom, I would have said no too.
I‘m 60 years since a few days. I love Elvis my whole life! I remember that day he died like yesterday. I was buying all the magazines and newspaper with storys about Elvis. When I was old enough to work, I bought a VHS recorder and saw his movies, I bought his vinyls…. How lucky I was when the Internet was „born“… Today it is so easy to see and hear Elvis. But I‘m so lucky for all the years I could hear his awesome voice. When I was in school (I‘m german), I was the only fan from Elvis. It wasn‘t easy. All the other kids was making jokes about him („fat and forty“ and other shit). So I wasn‘t talking about him and my love to him. It never changed. He is the longest love of my life. Much longer than the love to my husband. He had to tolerated my love to Elvis and he does. 2007, Elvis was dead since 30 years, there was a radio quiz here in Germany about Elvis. I won… I could fly to Memphis and the south for free (with my husband). It was amazing! my dream came true… After this travel we came back to Memphis four times for many days. I was standing on his grave every morning. I was in his house more than 10 times. I was meeting his friend George Klein two times, I was talking with Priscilla and the TCB band on a „TCB Cruise“, I was meeting the TCB Band and the Stamps Quartet after „Elvis in Concert“ show. I was shaking the hand from Bill Baize… Thank you for your kind words aboout Elvis and for your awesome reactions. I love them and the way you do it. 👍❤️🙏😘👏🥰 Sorry for my bad english.
I bet there was a baby boom around that time, all those ladies coming off that show probably shook their hubbies up!😉🔥 He was so amazing! I can tell you two are smitten kittens too!😍 thanks for the fun!!!
Hey guys. I have one for you. I cant stop loving you. 1972 live Elvis wearing the blue outfit. He really shows his sense of humor and great personality. You're gonna love it. This is a rare performancs.
Brilliant. I remember I was 12 and waiting for my bus to get home from school. There was a tv shop at the bus stop and it was on all the tv's that Elvis passed away.
I remember seeing this '68 comeback special on live TV back in the day and it was so cool to see Elvis go back and do this medley especially for the fans that were there when he was doing these songs at the early part of his career - he did a great great job here of showing he DEFINITELY still had "it" in spades not to mention rockin' the heck out of that black leather suit. Many dont know but Elvis biggest fear was that one day he would just be forgotten, so its great to see the new generations learning about the Elvis voice, charisma and master showman - he really did care about his fans and did many great things for people - its a shame so many focus on the negative - I always say dont be to quick to criticize his failings because we ALL have them - just try and imagine the pressure and work it took just to BE Elvis Presley, being famous can be a wonderful thing but someone like Elvis can have a very hard time living a normal life like the rest of us - much of your time is scheduled and spoken for, you become a money machine for crooked managers etc etc and you often have no idea who you can really trust. RIP Elvis, the world still loves you and you have many new fans to carry on your memory you will NEVER be forgotten.
Hi and I love your Elvis reactions! My name is Mike and I'd love for you to react to Elvis 68 special Baby What You Want me to Do. I've watched this probably 100 times and I just noticed for the first time toward the end of the clip Elvis raises his left eyebrow and looks toward a group of women in the audience. Their reaction to this is priceless and just demonstrated the amount of Charisma Elvis had and that is unmatched to this day!
U might think Ur a good looking guy sitting in that audience but when that man walked on that stage and started u realise that this is the guy who has it all...looks, charisma and of course the voice
What's funny about this, is that many tv stations refused to show him from the waist down, because he was so 'vulgar'. He was going to ruin our young girls (like me) LOL I used to go watch his movies in the theater on Saturdays with my friends in Jr. High school. We were 'in love' Tee hee I love how he puts Karate moves in his performances too. He was a black belt & wanted everyone to know it.
Probably the best version to me of heartbreak hotel is live in Vegas 1970. He slows it down and if you catch the full version he talks a little bit before it so it shows of sense of humor.
You two are great! Austin Butler's reenactment was spot on! Only people who didn't like the "Elvis" movie - were those who expected to see something other than the rough business relationship between Elvis and Col. Parker. Elvis Channel in Sirius radio says the only embellishment in movie on this TV special was "WHEN " - Colonel Parker and associates expressed disapproval of the NON Christmas theme. They did disapprove - but not during the shooting of the Special as you saw in the movie. Otherwise very accurate.
The movie was NOT spot on. There was nothing like showing Parker fake Christmas sets, the fact is Parker wanted a Christmas Special. but Elvis and Binder went in another direction. The most that was done was a staff member that got along well with Parker made an effort to distract Parker from being present.. But that's nothing like the made up nonsense in the movie.
