They were already performing at a professional level back then, and anyone watching this knew that this band was going places! Thank you for reacting to The Warning!
Really appreciate you calling out Ale’s tremendous bass line at such a young age. While Dany deservedly gets rave reviews for her solo (and of course Pau’s drumming skills) - listen to Ale’s bass line during Dany’s solo - Wow! Enjoy your reactions. Ciao.
They're all intense. They get into the character of each song and stay there throughout. They decided shortly after this went viral that they wanted to pursue a career in rock music as a band. Ellen DeGeneres put them on her show and gave them money to go to Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA, and they got to work... First, they wrote some original songs and recorded an EP, *Escape the Mind.* Then they recorded a live concert at their school (Live at Liceo de Monterrey, June, 2015), as their "audition" for Ale and Pau, who were technically too young to attend Berklee without one. With that and the five weeks at Berklee, they were off to the races! (Don't miss the Live at Liceo concert! It is amazing.)
@@RamonRodriguez-wp2wk One of my Davidson classmates, Roger Brown, was President of Berklee for the years 2004-2021. He would have been there when The Warning were there.
@@williamburkholder769 ah I used to be around the campus frequently, but I thought about it and not the time they were there. Of course they were little girls, not like anyone could run up to them and be like "the warning!" 😂 But the warning always treats Boston nice. As you probably know in the beginning they did most of their live shows in Mexico, but a few in Texas and one in Boston. This was to support their first album. They must have used to Berklee credentials to book that gig.
At age 9, Alejandra has only been playing bass for 2 years at this time. They also have only been playing together for 2 years. Paulina and Daniela have been playing their instruments for 6 years. So, Ale is playing at the same level as them. Ale is a natural talent and has perfect pitch and timing. Her sisters have referred to her as a human metronome. They also said Ale was better at piano than them when they were her age. She is nearly 5 years younger than Dany and nearly 3 years younger than Pau. They did this in one take. No post production or dub overs. The wall in front of them them is a full mirror wall, so they can watch them selves play and perform. Metallica is a four piece band with 2 guitars, so Dany is playing for 2 guitar parts AND singing. They are playing with Band Maid on June 12 in Tokyo. Glad you're feeling better 👍😎 Watch their cover of Twisted Sister "We're Not Gonna Take It" where Paulina sings lead. They are the same ages as this video. Dee Snider the lead sign for TS posted that video on his Face Book page. This is the video I first saw of them and have followed and supported them since.
Well Dany is not playing two guitar parts since there are no overdubs When she does the solo/lead there is no rhythm guitar like on the original They made it work by playing what was dominant on the original. If the rhythm guitar was dominant Dany played that, if the lead was, she played that By doing so they achieved the closest possible version to the original that the casual listener would say "it sounds exactly the same"
re: 2014 *Enter Sandman* cover : for a trio, much less a young trio, this is fantastic! slightly different but a full wall of sound filled with raw power and grit... the child's prayer with Pau (drums) and Ale (bass) is beautiful and takes me back to my own youth and bedtimes with one of my parents coaching me along... the power of Pau on the drums, Ale's driving bass line, and Dany rocking out on guitar with her James Hetfield scowl are... whoa! then you think who needs two guitars when you have one Dany? 😹 also, i'll note that the wall behind the camera is a full mirror so all the girls can see themselves playing... this was done so they could work on their stage presence... the wall on Ale's (bass) side also has a window into the equipment side of their studio known as "The Warning Cave" or "The Cave" for short... they were 14 (Dany on guitar), 12 (Pau on drums), and 9 (Ale on bass) when this was recorded... yes! this is where they went viral, out of the blue! 10 years ago... i mean 🤯 TWA ⚡🤘😸🤘⚡ TWA
