These guys are so overlooked & TALENTED. This is a cover of a Dire Straits 1984 song, paying tribute to the fallen Royal Marines, Royal Navy, Royal Army & Royal Air Force service personnel killed in the 1982 Falklands War

Something besides Country Can’t Stop The Feeling, End of The Road, Try Everything, I Swear, Unchained Melody, When A Man Loves A Woman,American Pie I know there’s more but can’t think of them right now

Also "Never Gonna Give You Up" and various Christmas songs such as Do You Hear What I Hear. Castle On The Hill is an Ed Sheeran cover and he's English, so that's not particularly country and they didn't morph it to country. Make You Feel My Love is basically a Bob Dylan song, so it will have a little blues/country tinge to it, but that's all. Sea Shanty Medley is a fun mix of British and American sailor songs about a century before country and bluegrass. We Just Disagree is soft rock from the 70s written by English guitarist/singer Dave Mason. Don't do Mayday until you've done a couple more songs and understand their roles better. It is technically from a country/pop artist (Cam) but really sounds like straight pop. Their version of Helplessly Hoping is pretty much straight 60's folk/rock from Crosby Stills and Nash, with no percussion just like this song. For way over the top Country, then their Facebook release of Ain't Goin' Down is a real blast.

Tim and Chance have several songs where they share the lead. This is an anti-war song about the Falkland Islands war. It's refreshing to see how well they all work together. In a newer one Ain't Going Down, Tim and Austin are paired and Rob and Chance also sing in unison.

This is another example of Home Free being unapologetically patriotic. They released this for Veteran's Day. A very solemn song and it was done so respectfully. Not just to our veterans, but to veterans worldwide. I love how they never "stay in their lane" they take up the whole road! Sad, Sappy, Silly, they do it all with equal talent and ease! Thanks for another wonderful reaction! ❤

So beautifully sung that touches your soul so deeply. The beautiful voices of Chance and Tim. the bass, but also the harmonies and background. Like a choir, or even a church organ. Really amazing

They can all sing and all take the lead depending on the song. Austin and Rob are the tenors. Chance is the baritone and Tim (lead here) is the bass. Tim does have a 5 octave range so as low as he sang here he can sing up with the tenors (not kidding). This song lent itself to the basses I think. It’s a rendition of the Dire Straits song in the 80’s. That was guitar driven where this is voice driven. It’s so hauntingly beautiful. There aren’t many songs where basses lead so I loved this. Good reaction.

This song is so hauntingly beautiful. No perk. Just pure vocal harmonies. And so deep forward for a change. They really lucked out getting Chance who is so versatile in the high and very low.

I’m so glad you came back to Home Free! I do wish you reacted to them a little more often, but I know you want to be diverse with your subs. I totally understand. When you asked if they reacted to anything Alternative, do you mean Alternative genre, or just different genres in general? They haven’t done any Alternative music in that genre, but they have covered many different genres. They also have done some short versions of some Rock songs, such as Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody”, and Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believing”, and also recently they did a really short snippet of Queen’s ‘Fat Bottomed Girls” which all of these I mentioned are incredible. You will be pleasantly surprised! If you want to see them sing some of their original music, check out some of their tracks from their album Dive Bar Saints. There’s a title track, which carries the chill vibe through the whole album. “Catch Me If You Can” has a Mumford type style to it (one of my favorites on their album), and Tim and Austin each co-wrote 2 songs on the album.

I have always loved this song by Dire Straits but think Home Free did an excellent version of this song. Tim's natural breathy bass was awesome & so were all the guys doing 5 part harmonies. These guys are my favorite a cappella group out there.

The breathy singing and slow movements bring to mind a dying soldier, slowly fading, yet thanking his comrades for taking him out of the battle. In his last moments reflecting how stupid and ineffectual war truly is.

You should hear “YOURS” and “I CAN’T OUTRUN YOU” “CASTLE ON THE HILL” and “SNOW GLOBE”. ( Austin Brown - High Tenor, Rob Lundquist - Low Tenor, Adam Chance - Baritone, Tim Foust - Bass, Adam Rupp - Beatboxer / Tenor )

You asked for "other than country" recommendations, so here ya go: "When a Man Loves a Woman" (Percy Sledge//Michael Bolton) "End of the Road" (Boyz 2 Men) "Can't Stop the Feeling" (Trolls/Justin Timberlake - has a sick rhythm section breakdown you'll love!) "Love Train" (O'Jays) "Thinking Out Loud/Let's Get It On" (Ed Sheeran//Marvin Gaye) "Castle on the Hill" (Ed Sheeran) "Try Everything" (Zootopia/Shakira) "Wake Me Up" (Aviici) "How Great Thou Art" (5-part harmonies will blow your mind!!! 🤯) "Helplessly Hoping" (Crosby, Stills, and Nash cover with such harmonies and precision it's stunning!) "Everybody Walking This Land" (Paul Cauthan) - Watch Tim's message at the end! "Born in the USA" (Bruce Springstein) "In the Blood" (I suppose this one could be considered country, but it's got gorgeous harmonies and great lyrics) "Dive Bar Saints" (Home Free original and great song!) "Blue Ain't Your Color" (HF took this country song by Keith Urban and did it with a Motown/Temptations vibe!! Very cool, plus you get to see their great choreography! Haha) "Unchained Melody" (Love the backup harmonies! Great video!) Etc, etc, etc... Shall I go on?? Lol Yes, they do more than country. 😉❤ After those, there's another 140+ to listen to, including an extensive Christmas catalog. 👍 Click on anything. I've never heard any "bad" HF song!

if you hadn't had a chance to realize it yet, Home Free does country, rock, pop and some very serious material. They all sing lead on different songs and they're all terrific singers. The beatboxer (Adam Rupp) and his brother Chris (who has since left the group and Adam Chance joined) founded the group. Adam Rupp has twice won the world championship in beatboxing.

The diverse genre of music they bring to the table is simply amazing. This group is amazing in the diversity of their vocal range. Between the 5 members They have two guys that can make bass come alive, there are at least 3 or 4 that can deliver the baritone range, 4 with the Tenor II range and 3 with the Tenor I range. They sing a very wide diversity of music genre that include gospel, country, patriotic, rock n roll, blues and they are superb with their video interpretations for the songs they perform. They have well over 100 covers and also have original songs they have written too. They don't put out junk. The beat boxer Adam Rupp is an amazing artist that you will find in about 90% of their releases. Each of the singers could have a solo career in their own right. They are simply that good!!! Enjoy the rabbit hole. I discovered and started listening to them about 2 years ago and rarely listen to any other group. They keep things very interesting routinely releasing a new cover or song many times throughout the year.

It’s a lot of fun, watching someone discover Home Free. Called a country band anyone would get the wrong idea. Hearing some of their lighthearted (OK, perhaps country leaning songs) in the beginning, then hearing “Brothers in Arms” or some of their more serious songs , watching a face go from expecting to laugh to amazement at the complexity of heart rendering and soul piercing harmonies and meanings, is like watching a flower discover sunshine. Welcome!

Tim Foust (bass, 2nd from rt.) has an incredible 5 oct. range. He sings with ease from sub bass to 2nd. tenor. Look up “Misty Mountains” by Peter Hollens + Tim Foust. All singing is by them, and them only! Peter is known for multi-track harmony’s with himself. Stay for the last note, and prepare for chills.

This song was inspired by the Falklands War, which was going on when Dire Straits lead singer Mark Knopfler wrote the song. The Falklands War was a conflict between Argentina and the UK over islands off the coast of Argentina that each country claimed rights to. The islands are British territories, but in 1982 Argentina tried to reclaim one of the islands. Britain reclaimed their territories, but lost 258 soldiers in the conflict. In this song, Mark Knopfler sings about a soldier who is dying on the battlefield, surrounded by his comrades, who remain by his side as he slips away. I get that some people want to focus on their vocal ability, but this is one time that, you should have focused on the message of the lyrics. I'm giving this video a down vote, even though I understand my comment and interaction with your video, i.e. up or down vote, helps you. Just know, I'm not happy with your reaction.

Good enough but Dire Straits Brothers in Arms is better, and Mark Knopfler wrote the song about an actual armed conflict. I's so apropos to the war in Ukraine and the brutality in Israel and Palestinians today. Listen to his plaintiff guitar. It makes your heart bleed. Knopler's version is raw,.
