For the Sanremo festival obviously all the songs must be in Italian but the Eurovision Song Contst does not provide any rules on the language so nothing prevents the songs from being translated, it is a choice that remains up to the artist

In 1956 every country sent two entries, they only announced who was the winner but not other placings

Al Bano and Romina Power were already married and remained so until a few years ago. Romina is the daughter of American actor Tyrone Power.

Romina and Albano were married, in Italy we don't take the husband name. We use our name always, and when we want to let others know we're married we just add "in" to specify. Example: Romina Power in Carrisi (Albano last name).

Lol ... Al Bano and Romina Power were married. Romina was the daughter of Tyrone Power (1914-1958) and Linda Christian (1923-2011).

Mia Martini was Loredana Bertè’s sister (you may remember her from last Sanremo, the blue haired lady). She killed herself because her career was ruined by people saying that she was bad luck (not joking, sadly). She was an incredible voice, check out her “almeno tu nell’universo”.

Italy 1957 is the longest song performed at Eurovision and it’s actually because of that song that the 3 minute rule came to be haha (it was 5 minutes and 9 seconds)

Of all the couples you saw Al Bano and Romina Power are the only one who were married, they separated in 1999. Alice used to go only by Alice, the same goes for Wess.

In the early years of Eurovision it wasn’t necessarily hosted in the country that won the year before, it was just hosted by whatever country was interested in hosting that year because unlike today, Eurovision wasn’t watched by many people so the hosting countries wouldn’t really get much out of it 😂
