She easily has the best voice in Kpop. Her voice is so beautiful and sincere. She makes you feel absolutely everything she is singing. And that is so rare! Also you HAVE to check out her dramas! Omg she is SUCHHHH an AMAZING actress! I can't stress that enough! I loved her in everything I've seen her in!

Both of these songs are great!! She really never disappoints and that's why she's one of my favorite soloists. Voyage is classic Sejeong sound, and Top or Cliff is a completely different direction from what she's done, and i love them both. I agree the Top or Cliff MV is music video of the year. I wonder if Sejeong said i want to be in more action shows so let's show off my skills to get producers attention. The album is amazing as well. I think Jenga and In the rain might be my favorite B-Sides.

I might be reaching here but I think the kid inside the lift is her old self. There is a shot of that kid holding a teddy bear. I remember before when she released her song Teddy Bear, she said it has a significance to her coz it is the first gift she received from her dad. So my assumption is, this is her proving to everyone her worth, telling her old self she turned out okay, despite the internal struggles (her fighting herself in the mv). Genius. 👏🏻 Plus the internal struggles/fighting herself is also in her mv Warning. The different versions of her inside her. Again, genius 😅

I am amazed and obsessed with both songs and MV's! I am so happy that you reacted to both of them! They are both incredible and their drastic differences really showcase how talented Sejeong is as a singer, actress, and performer. I'm still not sure what the overall story of both videos are, but the fact that both have the keys, a little girl, and a group of people makes me believe it's a connected story. I look forward to reading more people's theories. As for the songs themselves, I love both so much. I agree with all you said about Sejeong with her being one of your favorite voices in kpop, I adore her so much. I think Voyage is probably my favorite song of the two but I think both are wonderful in their own way, I just usually prefer more upbeat and fun music, but I definitely appreciate and love the mature sound of Top Or Cliff. It’s been a hot minute since I saw you be like 😮for almost a whole MV lol 😂 It’s brilliant and both songs so diverse with visuals, vocals, acting it’s everything. I got the feeling that top or cliff is a reference to the film Ready or not, that’s about a bride that when gets to new hubby family mansion they and the staff hunt her and it’s her in her brides dress with guns and bombs etc (good film) There was a flicker as she’s in hand to hand combat at the end where the head butler guy turns into her for a moment, so possibly where this diverts from the film is that she can feel trapped and attacked in her own world by the rules and standards she then puts on herself to fit but constantly feeling the eyes and vulnerability that anyone around her that she has to trust (staff, studios, production teams, companies etc) could also kill her future at any time. I feel like she’s saying it’s fine I will not hold back, I can fight back against the odds even against myself. When she sings no matter who shows up I’ll prove it. That I felt was the main statement. 13:31 jaw open till end lol She sees the girl scared like she was at the start and takes pity. She says I see your level, but I’ve been torn and broken but still stand. She’s no rookie. She’s climbed to the top of the cliff and she doesn’t need favours, goodwill or quid pro quo’s. She’s not lonely, she’s not waiting for a rescue or help. Like she walks into the industry knowing exactly what it is and through the MV is that she can weather it and come back out. The keys I think and the lovely is the good and positive in her experience that has given her the keys to handling the rest. I feel like also many established idols adding in a token cigarette scene to also be like get over this as well, attacking ppl and trying to ruin careers for something so trivial. I’m here for it. More big names cause babies too scared to say or fight back but leaders can push a little. So no idols shouldn’t quit when dating/married, cause photo with cigarette, cause the kissed a girl before trainee, cause a rumour lie from haters….it’s just time to stop. Love her. Watching last two eps uncanny counter 2 tonight! Yay 🎉

Just my theory, I feel like both MVs are connected. Voyage shows her in another dream-like world smiling happy with everyone surrounding her, together. At the end a child gives her a key and i think this key symbolises freedom. To release herself or unlock the door that traps her. In Top or Cliff, shes in the real world or something parallel to her dreamworld where shes on top but rather feels like shes on the verge of a cliff. Rather than everyone being happy together she feels like theyre all deceitful. Everyone watches her every move and she feels trapped. The only way to escape is to fight. This must also be her inner struggle as she fights everyone along with herself on her way out. Rather than the dream girl giving her keys, in the parallel reality, the girl has a gun pointing at her and she takes that on her way to liberty Maybe im far from it. Maybe its not that serious lol but I watched Voyage for the 1st time through your reaction and after watching Top or cliff so many times thats the story my brain put together lol These songs are so good! i personally think that this mv (top or cliff) is about her whole aspect of life being on display and watched by so many when she finally decides to cut it out of her life (represented by murdering the maids and such in the mv) she also feels like a piece of herself is also being destroyed as well and that chip on her shoulder is finally off. I see that whole scene of her stabbing herself simply as putting that past self behind her that isnt so much as just a demon but more of her past self she desperately wants to move on and get away from. And the child she decides to not hurt representing her inner child and her caring for her in this small way by keeping her alive is to maybe communicate that to her young self she will be ok no matter what she has to go through.

I wasn't expecting this song to sound like this, but it turns out really AMAZING & ADVENTUROUS, it's very refreshing and honestly can be a Disney OST (probably for films similar to Moana) 🩵🌊 TRULY QUEEN SEJEONG !!!

Watching Voyage first is important. It’s like the happy dream world she’s created for herself to forget her reality. I made the mistake of watching Top or Cliff first and then Voyage but watching them in reverse makes so much more sense. But the emotional whiplash, almost brought me to tears.

Hi Kaia, I'd suggest if you're a fan of Kim Sejeong to check out her dramas. I've watched her in the first season of The Uncanny Counter and Business Proposal and just finished the second season of The Uncanny Counter. She's fantastic in all of them. And like you I've really loved the two new songs and MV's. I can't wait to get this album and check out the rest the songs.

I'm sure there are many theories and meaning is behind the Voyage mv but there is no doubt that the mv is based off of Ready or Not. If you have seen the movie its the exact same down from the concept, ripped dress, the shoes, and even the end scene with the fire and her smoking. But this song is just amazing and yes I did get Bibi vibes as well from the mv.

I don't know what she intended but maybe the Voyage is the fantasy, the ideal place where she is happy and playing (these people persuading her that her life is perfect and great) but reality is different. In Top or Cliff, we see how she needs to escape from this place, since she was young she has been trapped there, not allowed to be free. What I conclude from the ending is that she wasn't able to escape but at least she realized all the manipulation they did to her and was able to see reality as it really was from the beginning. The key is perhaps a symbol of her freedom. All this time she has been locked and didn't try to get out but now, she holds the key and she is trying to escape. The little girl is her. This place has always been dangerous but she has been surpressing these situations until now (the little girl is holding a gun like her in the present). Firstly, she tells her to keep quiet but at the end, she says that it's ok I know you have suffered a lot. The guy is a person she trusted and liked, and she figured out he was lying to her. However, she still wants to be with him; in order to be out of this fantasy completely, she needs to kill him. They both kill each other.

I freaking love that movie and it has to be the inspiration behind this mv. Sejeong: I want to do a ballad, but I also want to shoot a mofo in the face. Producer:.... Sejeong:..... Producer: Do both. Jokes aside, I'm with Kaia here. Voyage is kind of on another plain for me. I'm not usually a person who likes slower music, but this song just hit all the right notes for me. Last year the ballad of the year was Miyeon's Te Amo (or Dreamcatcher's Fairytale - but that might be cheating as it's got a rock flair), but I can already tell Voyage is this year's Te Amo. Now, I'm sort of meh on Top or Cliff as (once again, slower songs aren't my thing), but Sejong as John Wick is like a mindbreak, lol. I really don't know where I stand with this song, but let's just say I'll keep my opinions to myself in front of Sejeong.

의견을 듣고 싶다고 해서 제가 다른 곳에 쓴 글을 복사합니다. =========================== 김세정 앨범을 냈던데 '정상 또는 절벽' 드라마 '경이로운 소문 2' 가 생각보다는 크게 끌리지 않는 느낌이 있고 뭐랄까? 경이로운 소문 1 과 비교해서 비슷한 것을 반복한다는 느낌이 강해서 새로움이 부족하다고 해야겠네요. 그래서 '사내 연애' 이 후에 크게 주목 받지 못하는 상황에서 새 곡을 내 놨는데 '항해'는 너무 평범한 곡이라 그렇고 '탑 오알 클리프' 는 괜찮아 보이네요. 가사는 김세정 자신이 연예계 활동하면서 겪은 과정에 대한 다짐이랄까? 돌아봄이랄까? 정도 되겠는데 솔직한 마음을 내 보였다고 할 수 있겠네요. 항상 웃는 얼굴만 가득한 김세정이 자기가 겪은 좀 어려운 것을 대처하는 마음에 대해 이야기했다고 할 수 있겠죠. 그런 마음이 형상화 된 게 뮤비라고 할 수 있겠죠. 뮤비도 김세정 자신이 잘하는 것을 보여주었으니 나쁘지 않아 보이네요. ========================= 가사 하나 하나에 대한 설명이 필요하면 대답해 드리겠습니다. 미국 사람은 이 가사를 이해하기가 상당히 어렵습니다. 김세정 같이 대상이 빛나길 바라는 사람과 수 없이 많은 사람들이 그러하듯 자신이 빛나길 바라면서 대상이 자기 눈에 별 것 아니게 보이길 바라는 마음이 충돌하는데 그런 충돌 속에서 김세정이 자기 소중한 마음을 지켜가는 과정을 이야기하고 있는데 우리나라 같은 경우는 이런 충돌이 아주 많이 발생하기 때문에 이 마음을 이해할 수 있지만 우리나라 사람이 아니면 이 마음을 이해하기는 무척 어렵습니다.
