Reaction to Kittie's new song "We Are Shadows". 

their music gets better and better with every release and if this isn't a testament too that i don't know what is lyrically sonically conceptually all professionalism in their musicianship

This song pays homage to many elements from their 3rd album 'Until the End', for example the stripped-down power chords in the verses are very reminiscent of the song "P**** Sugar" and the chorus has vibes of Morgan's vocal harmonies from that album's title track. Cool reaction/review of a great song!

Great reaction!!! This is their 2nd single/video from their upcoming CD "Fire" on Sumerian Records. Have you seen the 1st one "Eyes Wide Open"??? That one came RIGHT out the gate in your face w/ ALL growls/harsh vocals. This one has a beautiful mixture of Morgan's great clean vocals and the harsh vocals (and Mercedes doing the deep low growls in the chorus). I assume as a Kittie fan you've seen the "Evolutions/Origins" Kittie documentary since you mentioned their "tumultous" history, great doc!!! Then there's the recorded Live at London Music Hall show where MOST of the past members return and play those songs from each of their eras (except Talena Atfield and Lisa Marx), its great to see/hear Fallon Bowman do "Choke" and the original bassist Tanya sing "Paperdoll" as she originally did. Unfortunately bassist Trish Doan passed away but the last song is a tribule/dedication to her of an accoustic version of "Funeral for Yesterday" w/ Tara Mcleod playing acoustic, Morgan singing and Mercedes doing back up vocals. I have that uploaded on my channel if you wanna check it out or react to it. I'm thinking of uploading the "Choke" performance w/ Fallon!

They definitely had some drinking years, but they were NEVER into drugs. And now I’d say it’s more in moderation, with special events calling for more drinks… and maybe cannabis is something they’re more into as well 😉. That doesn’t alter appearances- unless you’re one of those who becomes lazy & doesn’t care about any of that.

Musically this is fucking awesome. I have just never been a fan of Morgan’s clean vocals. Love her screams though.
