REACTION to NCT127 - FIRETRUCK, SIMON SAYS, & SUPERHUMAN MVs 

The storyline for firetruck is that they follow the girl throughout her life like guardian angels and they take out the hose when they see something bad about to happen to the girl you can see it right before the video ends that something bad was going to happen to her so they save her from it

I just find it so funny that the mvs you watch in order both start with Taeyong rapping on a chair

For Fire truck, the Members are like her guardian angels , every time something bad is about to happen , they come in with their water hoses and go chaotic. To make sure nothing bad happens to her. Also you can see in the music video, the scene with the table the kid and a guy, One of the members (Haechan) said that he accidentally sprayed the actress in the face. Don't we just love the silliness that is NCT.

Yess Fire Truck was a reeeeally intense debut, even nowadays they say this is the most tiring choreo of them About Simon Says, I think everyone likes this song, is just so amazing even Chenle (NCT Dream member) can't stop listening to it, the other members said that they were kinda annoyed bcs he couldn't stop singing or listening to it lol

Simon Says is my all time favorite NCT 127 title track and Superhuman is a close second so to me, you have *superior* taste. I’m glad you reacted to these and I hope you react to more of NCT in the future~ I actually followed these boys (all units) since their rookie days so I knew most of them back in 2014, before they debuted in 2016. That’s probably why I was already hooked on them since debut, but honestly I think once you’ve actually delved into more of their music (especially their bsides like srsly most of their best songs are bsides) you’ll find yourself slipping into an endless rabbit hole of great music and fall in love with their sound.

Firetruck is actually one of my favorite NCT127 title tracks. It was one of the few songs from NCT I listened to even before I got in to the group. It just gets stuck in your head and won’t leave 🤣. For me, NCT was one of those groups I have heard of, but didn’t get in to for awhile, I had a few of their songs on my Spotify playlists but just didn’t feel like committing to a large group at the time. Then I accidentally stumbled upon an NCT vs Foreign language compilation video and THAT somehow hooked me in to the crackhead side of the group. Then I started to listen to more of their music and watch their content and before I knew it, I was trying to memorize 18 names/faces. This was around mid-late 2018 and they’re now one of my favorite groups. NCT127 definitely was the unit that drew me in first but recently WayV has won me over as my favorite unit (May be bias to the fact that I’m also Chinese so I can kind of understand them more xD).

I think what elevates NCT more is their dance practice videos. You get to appreciate them more and that's what made me fall in love with them.

I got into NCT through their 2019 comebacks with NCT 127’s Superhuman and NCT Dream’s Boom. While I appreciate their more experimental stuff, I also want there to be a melody that hooks me somewhere in the song. For context, Seventeen is my favorite boy group and I also really like Infinite and Day6. Superhuman reminds me a lot of music by Shinee, also from SM. If you want to check out 2nd gen groups, they are a must! If you check out NCT Dream, I’d suggest Chewing Gum (their debut, so you can appreciate how young they were at the start), We Go Up (last OT7 Dream comeback, at least until SM gives us another one), and Boom. I think Dream’s music is generally more mainstream, but that doesn’t make them any less fun to watch.

Simon Says is probably my fave NCT song. I'd recommend watching "Touch" to get a sense of 127's lighter side, but honestly I also think it's totally fine to just.. not vibe with a certain group. Everyone has different tastes and I'd rather you watch groups you like unreservedly than try and make yourself like something that's not clicking for you.

btw the mv for fire truck they are actually the girl's guardian angels, protecting her through out life - the lit match in the sand castle, the beaker fire in science class, the dude trying to get in her pants at the club, the 'top secret' floppy disk at her job, the electrical fire, at her family's home.. theyre literally trying to protect her like a fire truck.

Well, we can say that NCT's concept, along with the other SM artists, is changing concepts every comeback so you won't get tired of being interested and intrigued. 😅💚

The story in NCT-127's "Fire Truck" MV is sort of based on Wendy from Peter Pan. The NCT members are kind of like Peter who never want to grow up and always want to stay young, and they are always around to protect Wendy. The girl in the MV is "Wendy". You see her as she grows up and goes through life and the NCT members are like guardian angels protecting her from all the "fires" (bad things) in her life. Everytime Wendy is faced with something bad or hard, you see the NCT members come in with their fire hoses and try to suppress the 'fire." But, like Wendy, the girl realizes she has no choice but to grow up and go through those adult milestones. In the end you see her as an old woman and the girl you now see in the yard is "Wendy's" granddaughter. NCT's concept is based on dreams and dreaming. So most of what they do has something to do with some aspect of dreaming or being in a dream state. So that is what I think you see being depicted in the "Fire Truck" MV --- It all has to do with a dream/fairytale. As controllers of dreams, NCT helps to change the narrative in "Wendy's" and her family's lives. "Fire Truck" is NCT-127's debut and the 7 members of NCT who were in this MV are Taeyong, Mark and Jaehyun (who all also debuted as part of NCT-U with "The 7th Sense"), along with new additions Taeil, Yuta (currently NCT's only native Japanese member), Winwin (who is Chinese) and Haechan. WinWin is trained in traditional Chinese dance, so he was the one you saw do the flip in "Fire Truck's" routine. WinWin debuted in NCT-127 while he was waiting for SM to figure out a way for the Chinese sub-unit to debut. So he is also a regular member of NCT-127, (you will see him in all of NCT-127's MVs and performances until 2019 when WayV debuted. Now he is busy promoting with WayV and he has not participated in any of NCT-127 activities since then. That is why we say NCT has 10/9 members.) You should watch NCT-127's dance practice for "Fire Truck" because the MV doesn't do the choreography justice. I think the dance practice is way more impressive than even what you saw. And if you haven't already, you should look up an English lyric video to help you understand a little more about what the story in "Fire Truck" is trying to tell. The concept for the whole group of NCT and all of their sub-units is all based on dreams. So, when you are trying to figure out what the story in their MVs are about, you have to view each MV with the filter of everything you see and the message they are trying to convey all has something to do with their dream concept -- either literally dreaming, being in a dream-like state or fulfilling a dream of some kind, etc. "Simon Says" was released in 2018 and there are 10 members in this song -- Taeyong, Taeil, Johnny, Doyoung, Yuta, Jaehyun, WinWin, Jungwoo, Mark, Haechan. Yes, "Superhuman is much more poppy then NCT-127's previous songs. During promotions for this song -- which was released in 2019 -- they specifically mentioned how "Superhuman" was supposed to be a new sound and style for them. Previous to this 127's sound was hip-hop based with a more hard beat and feel, so "Superhuman" was a chance for them to change things up and show another side of them. (There are 9 members in "Superhuman" -- WinWin was not involved in this song.) Yep, superman is exactly how they describe that move every time they demonstrate their dance to anyone. However, if you want to hear a song that is completely different than any thing you have hard from NCT-127 you have to check out their song "Touch." That one is unlike any of their other songs. It just shows that you can't expect NCT's style to ever stay the same. NCT are so multi-talented with such a wide range of colors that they can do pretty much anything and they never follow just one path. Anything can happen in a dream, you aren't constrained by reality, so this allows NCT to be able to experiment with all kinds of different styles and sounds.

NCT 127 just grows on you. I didn't like the music much in the beginning either, but now NCT is almost half my playlist lol. WayV and Dream are easier listening to me, so it surprises me that 127 is the group that has been most heavily promoted. Edit: Clarification

I like the whole group NCT, but WayV and NCT U are my favorite. Somehow they touched a string in me, I don't know how to explain it. But NCT127 has started to grow in me as well. simon says is definitely one of my favorite nct 127 title tracks though there’s many debates inside the fandom about it- you either love it, or you hate it, ive never met someone who simply said ‘it’s an ok song’ and nothing more. my favorite nct song though, without any doubt, always has been and will be limitless. the song is already so? idk how to say it, captivating? when you first listen and then, god, you listen to it a third and fourth and fifth time and you hear the background vocals, the harmonies... it’s absolutely insane how many layers limitless has. as for the confusing story of fire truck- essentially, throughout the video, the members always show up around this one specific girl when she’s in trouble; e.g. when she’s in school, something in the chemistry classroom is about to explode, at her workplace someone tried to frame her by hiding documents at her desk, during the dinner with her family there’s something on the drawer behind them that’s starting to burn, and they show up to stop that and protect her. in the end, she’s an old woman about to pass away, and they move on to her grandchild to protect him instead. it’s a sweet story but you really have to watch the mv several times to get what’s going on lmao.

i definitely got more into their music once i got to know the members. they also have great bsides :) their title tracks are known to be unique "noise music" that "isnt for everyone" but honestly even the ones i thought i didnt like at first have grown on me. especially after seeing them performed live, they are GREAT performers. and, having such a unique sound sets them apart from others and makes people interested in them, so it works. a lot of people stan them even if their sound isnt what they would normally like. they just pull it off

I got into NCT about 2 years ago because of a friend, and BOSS by NCT U was the song that did it (not sure if you've done that one or not, but if not you should check it out!). I actually loved Firetruck ever since I first heard it; songs like Cherry Bomb and Simon Says had to grow on me but now I love them too. Superhuman is *very* poppy, and the whole We Are Superhuman mini-album is more pop-focused (possibly to appeal to the western market as the album was promoted in the US before it was promoted in Korea). And honestly, I like how experimental they are. They kind of took the "noise music" label and made it their own, while experimenting with a lot of different sounds.

Taeils highnotes are basically my favorite thing ever. he's my bias since day 1 and he's my favorite vocalist in kpop 🥺❤

the first nct 127 song i heard was cherry bomb and i didnt like it at first but then i kept getting it in my head and listened to it on repeat for like 3 days before i decided to check out the rest of their music. theyre stupid talented and make addictive music so ive kind of been sunk since then

As it’s been said, I found my way to NCT 127 via NCT U. The 7th Sense (debut) opened the floodgates (and broke my speakers) for sure. Honestly, I’m more drawn to their b-sides more than title tracks. Running 2 U is probably my most favorite 127 song, followed by Good Thing, and Whiplash. Timeless is also a good one, but it tends to put me in a reflective mood (warning: do not listen to this song when drunk. Taeil will get me every time!) Highway to Heaven gets put on repeat. I would definitely recommend listening to NCT 127's 'Highway to Heaven' (has an English version as well as Korean), 'Regular' (English, Korean and Chinese versions available), 'Cherry Bomb' and 'Touch'. If you are planning on looking into NCT Dream (my favorite subunit along with WayV!) I would recommend going in order of release as that way you can see their growth. I think 'Chewing Gum' -> 'My First and Last' (I personally really love this one but not many react to it at first) -> 'Go' -> ' We Go Up' -> 'Boom' -> and finally 'Ridin'. Popular NCT U songs would be 'Boss' and 'The 7th Sense' plus really recommend 'Baby Don't Stop' for a focus on Ten and Taeyong and 'Timeless" is a really great vocally centered song. For WayV I would recommend 'Take Off', 'Let Me Love You' (it's such a soft mv!) and 'Dream Launch' (personal fave). NCT 2018 (the group they formed in 2018 which got all 18 (at the time, now 21) members together to release an album called 'Empathy') have a song called 'Black on Black' which is just really cool to watch! I am so so sorry for this long ass comment but hopefully it helps!

you should also react to limitless, regular, touch and highway to heaven. they are the rest of the MV’s they’re also amazing songs nct are my ult group now, i got into them when superhuman was released and was instantly hooked. i checked out their other songs and thought they were very different from what i had heard previously in kpop. i really love their style, it’s very unique. also the guys are EXTREMELY FUNNY, it’s ridiculous how funny they are😂 they do have a lot of content as they have a youtube channel with a bunch of fun vids and vlogs. if you want to get to know them, i recommend watching their “hit the states” youtube vids. you can react to them or watch them in your own time, but they are what helped me learn more about the members.

Hi, I'm back here again, kaia. Hehehe . As you can see I only watch tour reactions in girlgroup because I am biased at girl groups also, but NCT has always has a special place in my heart and Exo.. but Ive been getting into day6 lately. I only know few boy groups than girl groups but NCT is my ult boy groups because of their unique sound. .. in firetruck they are like the guardian angels of the girl, you can see in the start of the video at the beggining a girl was playing and they appeared. Then as she grows up they appeared again like when the girl was about to kiss someone, they appeared and doing sort of crazy things and even spalshed water all over which means they are protecting the girl and doesnt want to anyone to just be with the girl, another thing in the workplace, they also did sort of crazy things also because she doesnt want they dont want her to be scolded--(they appeared whenever they dont want the girl to be with someone who can mean a harm to her) again they did another sort of protection, in the end of the video you can see the girl had already became old,, then at their backyard, her grandchildren was there and they will again,, continue protecting the child. That was the MV is all about, NCT are guardian angel who protected the girl through out her life... and her future children and grandchildren... The vocal line of 127 doesnt really dissapoint, especially the one who hit the high note , he is Taeil... NCT127 is the most unique among the NCT sub units and i guess they are the most famous among other countries because they have this unique sound. The song that made me become an NCTzen is Limitless ,Switch, and Cherry Bomb in NCT127 . In NCT dream, my faves are Chewing gum and We Young. Thank you for reacting again... I got into NCT through NCT U, the first songs from nct on my playlist were Boss and Baby Don’t Stop. NCT 127 definitely isn’t for everybody, they have some really weird songs. They didn’t hook me at first as much as NCT U and NCT dream songs, however many 127 songs have become song of my long term favorites

Listen people hate on Firetruck but she's a queen and NO ONE can tell me other wise! Also I feel Simon Says is decently liked within the fandom, it's definitely one of my favorites!

If you want slower nostalgic songs-a bit less intense, feel good songs from 127: Paradise Angel Summer 127 City 127 Back 2 u Good thing And another upbeat oldie that i personally enjoy is running back 2 u

Binge-watching some reactions a few months late here haha NCT 127 was the second kpop group to grab my attention and hold onto it. I heard their song Limitless and it ruined me for like a whole month... have you heard Limitless yet? It will forever be my favorite NCT 127 song I think. They have a lot of amazing music but that one is really nostalgic for me so it gets extra feels haha The opening scene in Simon Says when they move with that second beat always gives me chills. I like Firetruck now but I feel like it was a learning curve to take in that song cuz it's so different sounding but that's just part of the NCT experience

I love fire truck personally, I think it’s great. They have some English songs you should check out; regular and highway to heaven, but also cherry bomb. Also check out nct dream they’ve grown up so much. Best order would be chewing gum, go, boom and ridin. I can’t remember if you’ve seen nct u, but I recommend boss, baby don’t stop, 7th sense and black on black. Thanks for your reactions though, I love them! Superhuman honestly is the best NCT song to me. And I'm not going by my personal tastes or opinions cause I would say I jam a lot to Simon says, nonstop, limitless and kick it. But Superhuman really broke boundaries musically and video wise. No one could do those harmonies as well as they did. It was the epitome of Neo Culture Technology. Something so fresh and unique to kpop in general.

Superhuman is such a SHINee-ish vibe but still NCT-ish lol. I’ve been on and off following NCT127 but bc of this reaction video I might binge watch them again. I missed Teil’s voice 🤍 Yuta and TY’s visuals too. Ugh this is one of the groups that you just can’t have one bias

I really recommend you Cherry Bomb, it was a start for NCT127. If you like rap line I'd recommend you Chain, that song was insane! For me, I got into NCT by their unit song (NCT U), the 7th sense, personally, everyone should start with that song in the beginning.

will you check out nct dream soon? they're the youngest members of NCT and my personal favorite subunit partly because u can literally see their growth from babies to full grown men! if you check them out i highly recommend checking their songs out chronologically: the debut, Chewing Gum (babies), then Go (rebellious teenagers), then their most recent comeback Ridin' (men)! the growth is crazy!! Their music is personally my fav- the 3 songs i recommended above aren't necessarily my favorite songs from nct dream but they're the 3 songs that best show their growth as a group so i definitely recommend checking those 3 out as an introduction to them! As for my favorite songs from them music wise- We Go Up is my favorite song from them, We Young is actually such a summer bop (though many people find it too bubblegum i think it's so catchy), and the choreo for Boom and My First and Last are so iconic!!

Actually on twitter Simon Says was ranked no 1 by the fandom! Its not their most succesful song tho, but i think its one of the best for people that love nct, but for nonfans it can be too 'different'. Most people like firetruck but there are more special songs in every direction musically if that makes sense

Nct is a very unique kpop group. I suggest nct u: the 7th sense For nct 127 i think you should listen to all the songs😂 I think their b'side is even more interesting and beautiful, i highly recommend you to check it, you'll like it for sure 💥

All of NCT song, especially 127 is weird. Tbvh. But it draws you in, the beat, their voice. It's weird but weirdly amazing lmao. xD You also need to check-out WayV, i recommend Take-Off (their kinda debut song), Let me love you, love talk. This three song really show different charms they have. Hope you enjoy!

Simon Says and Superhuman are my least fav 127 title tracks. I still like them, I just like more of the NCT noise. I think what you said about Superhuman being more of a pop sound is exactly why I don't like it as much. That said, I love all the Haechan I get in it, so I still enjoy listening to it. Limitless and Punch are probably my favs. The more experimental they get, the more I love it.

I did not like firetruck at all the first time I heard it. But it has become one of those hype or even anti-anxiety songs for me: I put it on and my mind goes blank except “WHOOP WHOOP FIRETRUCK”
