I always say that as singers Mamamoo are method actors, fully inhabiting their songs emotionally and physically, and while rewatching Reminisce About All with you I had the thought that as singers and musicians Onewe are masterful poets in total command of all the nuances of songwriting, arrangement and performance. After Universe my favorite songs on the new album are also Montage and Trigger. These days Kanghyun prefers the purple Sterling guitar and Cya the blue bass with the glow in the dark fret markers that they got during the Rain To Be era but I loved that they went back to their old instruments as they revisited Reminisce About All. Always loved the natural finish on Cya's older 5 string bass and Kanghyun's white Stratocaster is a classic rock axe. The volume swells Kangyun did on Reminisce made his guitar sound like a cello and went so well with the strings - a good example of what I meant when I called them poets. In my dreams they'll do an international tour in support of the upcoming album. They're overdue for a tour, which imo would have happened by now if not for the pandemic, and since Koreans seem determined to sleep on them maybe a successful i-tour will wake them up to Onewe's brilliance.
@@imbored0o Indeed. What a sad fact. 😢 Though I would say their company doesn't know how to promote. Look at Mamamoo, look at Oneus, look at Purple Kiss, and you'll know what I mean. Don't get me wrong. I like the company. RBW makes great music and is more artist-friendly (compare to others). But they really need to find someone who is good at marketing. It is too difficult for groups from middle and small company to survive in this competitive kpop market. And I really hope such a talented group like ONEWE can exist longer...
thank u for reaction! montage_ mv is so cool! and in RAA they are wearing the same clothes as in original mv😭 they also performed another version (I believe it's concert version or smth very similar to it)
Your video on then came up right when I needed it! I love watching all your videos on Onewe (and RBW groups in general) Thank you so much! Today (May 13th) is Onewe's 3rd debut anniversary as well as WEVEs 2nd anniversary! It's a very special time to be in this fandom 💕
I've commented the tracklist if you want to see what it is. Star and Parting already have their own albums as they are each the title tracks for their two 'Studio We: Recording' demo albums, so I think it's unlikely they will include them in future albums as well. All their other digital singles as ONEWE have already been combined into the ONE album.
The ONEWE account hasn't posted the tracklist but it's already on the order websites and we know a little extra info from news articles, the KBS approval and from Yonghoon. Tracklist: Roommate Starlight (2022 version) Roommate (Original topline ver.) (CD only) Starlight (Live ver.) (CD only) Roommate is a song about "ONEWE's story" 🥺 The name as you might expect comes from the fact that they are currently roommates at their dorm. Roommate is written and composed by Yonghoon along with his friend Im Dohwan who is the one who gifted them Starlight as M.A.S. 0094 (he also wrote From_ with Yonghoon ~6 yrs ago), with lyrics from CyA as well. Both Roommate and Starlight will be performed at the concert this weekend before the special album release This version of RAA is more similar to their extended concert version, and I completely agree they always find a way to make their songs new and hit even harder every time 😭 This extended version is also exactly 5 min 13 sec long, matching their debut date as ONEWE May 13 🥺💕
I wish I could force people to listen to them because I truly believe that nobody would be able to deny their talent then! I'm so grateful i found them through being a Oneus fan. Also, your video showed perfectly how diverse their songs are, from rocking out to crying! 🥰💕
So happy to see this reaction! I was thrilled when I saw that Montage_ got an MV, I'm hoping that will help it reach more viewers! And this version of RAA is so special; Dongmyeong's slow delivery of his line really really got to me. And I also loved how they incorporated the bass and the guitar earlier in the song as well, compared to the original version (I think). Thanks again for this reaction! (also, unrelated side-note: have you seen Onewe's girl group medley? I think you would enjoy it!)
I completely broke at Dongmyeong's part. He showed his growth as a singer and performer in that one delicate moment, and my heart burst from so much pride for him and ONEWE 😭
