Always love your reactions. I enjoyed your take on their family dynamic. Matt has been in the group as long as Avi was, now, so he’s had lots of time to build his relationships with the other members. I realize they had their pick of talented singers, but he was still such a remarkable find. He fits in perfectly, and his energy is so joyful. He has the same commitment to their mission as they all do, and his vocals are up to the task of meeting his band mates at the high bar they have set.
Their new Christmas album is full of fun, happy songs - you can tell how much they really enjoy each other's company. Matt and Kevin have a deep faith in Christ and I think that helps bond them together. Kevin has a Bible study when they are on tour.
You were in the perfect mood for this song, at least until that movement in the corner of the room scared you silly! But then you came back (with snacks), so it’s all good. For me, Kirstie and Kevin led the effort here, Kirstie with her vocals and Kevin with his happy feet. I agree that they feel like family and they are masters of their craft, each and every one.
