I like how SF fans think Sherm wouldn’t coach in Seattle just because he played on that team for 2 years. He LIVES in Seattle, he loves both teams it’s not something you have to fight over lol. I could see him coaching for either team but he does live in Seattle because he loves the area.

I'll be honest, I wasn't expecting Sherm to be quite so objective on this subject, given his personal history with Pete. Good for him for recognizing Pete's immense contributions over the years, while acknowledging that change was needed.

OC is former UW OC... great hire imho. He actually wanted to stay in Seattle but didn't get UW head coach spot so followed DeBoer to 'Bama--for a few weeks anyway. I'm thankful. Go Hawks. 💯

McDonald should bring in Smith to work with Tariq Woolen and Devon Witherspoon. Woolen needs to spend the offseason with a hardcore strength coach to give him the strength and power to be a devastating tackler.

The thing about the pay for college is that the coaches need to get over the awkwardness of money. Because those coaches are getting paid more than the ones in the NFL. If they can make millions off the college play then why can’t the players?? College football was always a minor league system, and most players weren’t at the school for an education. They were there to play football. And the pay for those coaches just went to the students that had to pay tuition to go to the actual school. It’s a BS system all around.

As a 49er fan I think it’s a good move for Seattle because Mike Macdonald supposedly has the cheat code to frustrate the Shanahan offense, and Kyle is going to be a 49er coach for a long time. Also for all those who want Sherm to be a coach for the Seahawks. Nah, he has a Stanford degree and is overqualified for the position. He needs to be used in the same capacity as a John Lynch, an NFL executive. “We” lost a lot in our Front Office…Kyle and John need to bring Sherm into the fold.
