Teja Dora is mine, but also a favorite of many. After her song "Dzanum" (check it also) which went viral all over the world thanks to Tiktok, now we have a sequel in the form of Ramonda. The title of Teya's song "Ramonda" references a flower known by its latin name "Ramonda serbica", an endemic species that only grows in Serbia, which is known for its ability to completely dry out and still revive once it gets water, a flower that can straight up come back from undead. Very similar to Ramonda Serbica is Natalie's Ramonda, flower of the same genus, In Serbia it's known as "Natalijina ramonda" named after the XIX century Serbian queen Natalija Obrenović and it's used as a symbol of peace after WWI. In Serbia, to mark this day we wear a phoenix flower - Natalie's Ramonda, capable of resurrection, just as Serbia after WWI, in which it lost almost 1/3 of people.

LILA RAMONDA ( A flower of hope) Neither peace nor dream I have. Night doesn't let day break into dawn. it is woe to one who is alone. Like under water, over my screams prevailing silence. Beyond the Mountains white glow, no end looming. This path is paved for the wounded. No one to lead me to the bright Morning Star, Danica. The world is set on fire, every flower. Where were they gone,Lila Ramonde? Lila Ramonda Lila Ramonda Ramonda Lila Ramonda There is no one to guide me for all the stars fell asleep. Neither do prayers help Where were they gone, Lila Ramonde? Lila Ramonda Lila Ramonda Ramonda Lila Ramonda Out of ashes it rises, one Lila Ramonda.

Lila Ramonda is a flower thats delicate but actually so strong it only takes one drop of water for it to revive when it dries

Lila ramonda - it means violet ramonda. It’s a flower - endemic species of Serbia, which is a symbol of a serbian victory in WWI, but also symbol of serbian struggling through hystory, until today. This is one of my 3 favorites ❤

It's a lovely song and I adore the meaning behind Ramonda, but it all depends on the staging. The staging would have to keep people watching and listening, drawing them in, because the song is slow and repetitive, the development of the song is very subtle. But if you keep listening it sort of puts you in a trans like some kind of a prayer. It might not be a song for the Esc tough

I kinda agree - it builds, but somehow seems slower than it should be, and then becomes repetitive. Her voice is really soulful, and I appreciate how intimate and personal this sounds, but... simply, there is a but. Somewhere throughout I start to get a bit impatient, b/c I get the impression it kinda starts to drag. She's a huge favorite to win, and I wouldn't mind sending her, but this is definitely not the song I like the most out of the bunch.

@@gocilydakov matter of opinion (I think it's polite to use language that channel's owner can understand what we're talking about). That year you were obviously in minority who disliked Salvador, and generally your experience isn't proof for anything - meaning, the fact you didn't like the song obviously means nothing since he has won at the end. Him winning also doesn't mean that Ramonda will win (or won't win) just because it's also a ballad. Similarly, my concerns also mean nothing - I could be dead wrong and she could end up high if chosen. But if that decision were up to me - I'd send something else, and I explained why. I should probably mention that Ramonda seems as difficult song too, and I haven't heard much of Teya live, nor I know how confidant as a performer she generally is - I've read that she isn't that good live (IDK if that's true or not). So, if stage fright takes the best of her, it could be one more thing to worry about.

I'm familiar with Teya Dora's "Dzanum" (which is magnificent), and some of the fatalism and melancholy shows itself in "Ramonda". That said, I still think its really pretty and thoughtful; it's surprising it's not love at first listen for you. Especially in a lineup filled with heavy hitters, that could make all the difference. I could imagine the staging being very simple for this one.

maybe the reason was the order I was listening songs also.

It is twin of her song Janum. Listen to Janum, Janum is name (in tradition) for a girl who can't find love. Find lyrics and you will understand. Ramonda needs dynamic, it's more on boring side because accent is on the lyrics. She is "lila Ramonda", flower which is dried ("world burns, every flower; where are dissapared all lila ramondas?"). She is hoping at the end ("one lila Ramonda is arising from the ashes") - hoping that she will find love.

I am always curious if such a very domestic driven song (by meaning but also overall) can resonate also in Europe.

If it is at the end everyone would be touched because song is so sad. She has worldwide following but currently Breskvica is favourite due to high national televote. Only is she falls below 2nd place by juries anyone else could hope to win.@@JanBors

Even I, as I Serbian find it a bit "meh". I get what she is trying to say, but it does nothing for me. It needs a bigger vocal moment or something else to convince me. I think that this studio version does not it a justice and that we should wait for the live performance.
