This song was huge back in its day. making it both Donna's and Barbra’s fourth chart-topping single in the US, and number one for four weeks on the disco chart. It spent two weeks at #1 on Billboard's Hot 100 and was also a big international hit, making the top three in the UK. The 8-minute version was a highlight in Discos in both countries. This is a really good pairing, but Donna's strong powerful vocals paired with Streisand's equally strong and powerful voice still reigns as the best version of this song. Sadly Donna and Barbra never got to reprise this performance together live before Donna's passing, but there's a cute story about a moment during the recording session. Barbra and Donna were singing on stools and during one really long note, both ladies threw their heads back, eyes closed, and went for it. When Barbra opened her eyes, Donna wasn't there... she was on the floor semi passed out. Barbra, aghast, asked if she was all right and Donna said, 'I nearly passed out, and when I opened my eyes I couldn't believe you were still holding that note, Barbra!' Two extraordinary vocalists. You should treat yourself to the 8- minute OG version too.

Tina is one of the most underrated artists, have a listen to her singing Sorrento Moon, That's The Way A Woman Feels, Chains, her voice is amazing, also you should listen to Donna singing MacArthur Park 🇬🇧

Donna Summer sang Barbra's part and Tina sang Donna's part not the other way around, it was a nice version but i rather hear the original version with Barbra Streisand, it was a big disco hit in 1979.

Donna Summer is amazing and a legend. The original pairing of Donna and Barbra cannot be topped however this performance with Tina is probably my favorite and best after the original. Even better than Barbra and Ariana Grande which I feel wasn't a good vocal match whereas Tina channels a young Barbra but Ariana's voice is too lightweight to power such an vocally demanding song.
