I am very old and not a gamer, but with Voiceplay it makes no difference! I love them so much. When they were performing with Chicago last November, Omar joined them as the fifth voice. Eli's baby was due at that time, they did not know if he would make it. J None was there ready to step in at the drop of a hat, if necessary. I would love to see them in person, but Geoff, Layne, and Eli are all married with children and don't want to go back on the road. In fact, at the start of Covid they were performing on one of the cruise lines and were stuck, unable to dock. They were out there for a couple of weeks, I think. Great reaction!!
This is the video that introduced me to Voiceplay 2 years ago. Ain't No Sunshine was my introduction to Geoff 2 weeks before. I immediately joined their patreons. They used to tour until covid lockdown. They said they won't be touring anymore. With videos on multiple channels, setting up and tearing down the stages themselves, their ages (Layne , Geoff and Eli in their mid 40s. Cesar is 33) and families it's just not in the cards for them. Covid lockdown is when Geoff started singing solo on his channel. There are a bunch of live videos of them. I recommend.... Road Trip. Chicken Song. Elvira. They also sang live with the group Chicago in November in New Jersey. There are some pictures of that as well.
@@90sGrungeFreak None of the Voiceplay members are touring. They all decided to retire from that part of their singing and only do videos. The singing with Chicago was a two day event only. Geoff, Layne, Eli, Cesar and Omar Cardona. And they said they would never do it again. Cesar however travels a lot in his free time. He just got back from a trip not long ago so they could film their video for July. Geoff just finished his new video for this month as well and released it on his Patreon. No videos from either in August.
@@jackyfriedman1963We don’t know that there won’t be an August release. They are taking July off from recording, but they have two videos prerecorded that can be released in July and August. In fact, patrons already have seen one of them. And many attended the last video recording session for a different video.
@@Wildecat10 Geoff said in his chat there be no release in August. The two he was talking about is Classical Chaos and the other one they just did the BTS on earlier. As well as his new one coming out this month. His words "there will be absolutely no videos in August." But as it may be I could have misunderstood. Only time will tell 😉
They don't tour any more. They stopped touring when the Covid lockdown happened, and decided, due to family commitments, to concentrate on studio productions instead. So it's rare for them to do live performances now. Very occasionally they are asked to put on a one off thing and a while back they appeared live with the band Chicago.
@@90sGrungeFreak Yes though as I said, having children made them rethink. Both Geoff and Layne have a lot going on. Layne has Pattycake Productions plus he does work for orher people, and Geoff has his own channel of low bass covers,. Layne has four daughters, Geoff has a young son. And now Eli has a new son and does voiceover work. Plus Earl left them in 2020 and J.None left them in 2021, to be replace by Cesar, who sings with other groups as well. These are very busy people. Touring is simply too much for them to consider.Ttouring is for young men. Middle age means diffierent priorities. Unless you're successful enough to be able to afford a whole different way of life. And VP just don't have that ikind of fame and fortune.Being independent of any recording company gives them the freedom to do what they want to do, but means they don't get the kind of promotion that other artists get.
