Why'd they make Ky French, anyway? EDIT: I get it, y'all, I get it, he's always been French. Can you really blame me, though ? Never speaks French, doesn't have French attack names or anything, currently first king of a country that is definitely not France. I'm glad, though; I like having a rep for my country.
I think this is Guilty Gear’s way of showing the characters’ nationalities. Zato’s Spanish, so naturally he has to throw out a quick “Gazpacho” every now and then. How do we let people know Leo’s German? Just have him shout out the name of a random German band.
Giovanna says the words "Dobradinha" (dough-brah-di-nya) and "Muqueca" (moo-keh-kah) which are the names of brazilian dishes. Dobradinha is a dish made with a cow's or ox's stomach and vegetables. Muqueca is a stew made with seafood and vegetables
Maby she is thinking about those dishes while faust is running her leg over with a weal chair becouse those dishes can heal injuries witch is why she says the names of them when getting ran over by a chair

I like how all of I-NO's lines are brands of electric guitars. Les Paul is actually the guy who invented the electric guitar and his brand of electric guitars are named Les Paul guitars so it's a double reference
Nagoriyuki's lines are most likeley in Hausa ,a north Nigerian language , although I can only make out the first phrase "kashewa" or meaning "off!" (ps. did you know that GG creator Daisuke ishiwatari is an African-Japanese citizen?)

I don't know the rest and assume all of I-No's are rock references. Zato has the best hurt lines fight me and Nagoriyuki should've said Onigiri for one of his.

The first thing that I-No says is "Les Paul". While it is broken french, it's also the brand name of insanely great guitars, mostly used in blues and jazz.
Actually I think it's referring to the Tech Death band named "Obscura". Both Edguy (the previously mentioned band) and Obscura are well known within the German Metal scene (Power Metal and Tech Death, respectively).
