Since this thing is in ‘operating condition,’ it’s possibly an air cylinder issue, water leak on the gantry or in the back room. Leaks, electrical shorts, and treadle issues are the only issues these machines will ever have.
All controls are on board, I've seen the backroom here and the only backroom equipment that this machine uses is an air compressor. I am almost positive that the top brush air cylinder failed because it seems to always have issues dropping the top brush.
@@sunshinesuds It has 2 tanks onboard, one for soap, and one for water. The soap tank has to manually be refilled, but the water tank is refilled from the sidewire
These machines are WAY before the Code-A-Wash days, all that was needed to activate these was just for a car to drive in. That's right, you could drive in without paying and it would still activate. Everything needed to operate this machine is located onboard (Except for the Air Compressor).
@@WisconsinCarWashChannel Yeah, you did tell me that. I realize now that it wasn't the issue. This issue was a common issue among older RYKOs. And I assume this machine is back from the Ryko Attendant Days.
It has been permanently closed as of July, I will post photos on my community page of its current state. It may be removed by now, but I am pretty sure it's still in the bay. It will eventually be removed as the owners of the station are planning to use it for more C-Store space.
Don't know, you should check on it. It may be replaced with a Laserwash now. Even if it is closed, take a video around the bay and through the door windows.
If you still have that ryko slideshow, can you send me the link, I want to show my grandma, we had one here back in the late 60’s early 70’s but it’s gone now, I do want to now if she will recognize it.
@@WisconsinCarWashChannel it was located at Reedsburg Farmers Co-op Service Station And Feed Mill, it was taken out in the 90’s unfortunately, and it was the 5 Brush.
I actually know why it was broken, the owner answered, and said it was not cleaning the whole car, I think he was talking about the top brush not going all over the whole top, which it is not supposed to do, that’s why the rinsers in the back have more degree angle.
