Yes to L.M. Montgomery. I love what you mentioned and the vintage feel.

I love Ivanhoe! If I had to pick a favorite author it would likely be L.M.M. I also need to read all of G.S.P. I love The Girl of the Limberlost. Yes, to leaning about nature! ❤ If you ever need someone to read Christie with, I can read any of them because I always forget the ending. 😂

I’m right there with you in wanting to read all of GSP! I have read several also, but I need to find a comprehensive list and figure out which ones I still need! LMM I think, other than short stories published after her death, and ‘The Blythes Are Quoted’ I have read to completion. (Rilla of Ingleside I refuse to read due to knowing its storyline and heartbreak.)

Rilla was very sad. I probably wouldn't read that one again, either. 💔

@@pylesofbooks oh no. Hadn't heard that about Rilla. I've only read Anne #1

Ah, collected works. My recommendation for Scott’s Collected Works is Delphi Classics. I know, they’re eBooks. But, you can carry all of Scott with you everywhere you go for just a few dollars. Works for me. I have well over a hundred of their collections. I can read any of Scott, Trollope, or the Harvard Classics anywhere. The only thing missing is several tons of book smells.

Ha! I'd be missing the book smell, too. I may have to dust off my kindle and buy this collection. 🙂

Do your Harvard Classics have Sir Walter? I read the Antiquary earlier this year and loved it! Had me laughing and I wrote so many moments in my common place book!

E. Nesbit is one I want to read more of as well! I think I've only read The Railway Children by her. Nope, that's a lie, we've also read The Enchanted Castle a few years ago, still want to read more. And YESSSSSS to L. M. Montgomery and Agatha Christie.

I need to put some thought into whose works I need to finish. Dostoevsky, maybe. GSP as mentioned. Gabrielle Roy, maybe. Cather, maybe. 🤔🤨🙃

Such a great list. I haven't read any Dostoevsky, but I have one or two, so I just need to work up the nerve to try. 😄
