Took some amazing shots this year and I was only able to do so by going to 3 out of the 4 of those excursions this year. Had a great time and got to see The Martian while waiting for it to come back to High Bridge.
Amazing video!!!!!! So many people that film steam trains always do super short videos. Less then 20 mins long. I love how long this is! it keeps me interested. Im a steam train nut and the longer the video keeps me interested. This is my Fav train in the world! Good job (y) Question, I see its not in hd. Video camera not do hd or youtube mess up?

+RaritanRiverRailroadFan4 maybe, not sure I'm going, they're not doing the double header so I may decide it's not worth the trouble with snow and what not. Plus I'm really pushing to see Strasburg's famous steam snow freight, and even that's a stretch.
Yeah Strasburg's steam freight is probably the better of the two to film. I'll also be trying to film R&N 425 this January. I'll have to check when the double header days are...
Do u know what kind of whistle that she is wearing in the video? She wore a PRR 3 chime for the 765 meet in 2015. Which would have been a few months prior to this trip
The normal whistle does not have because they change the whistle every two consecutive trips. But if it has the original one. It is still a reading 6 chime. But now they don't use it. Before in the old painting if You used it. Now in the modern painting no
Hey Jason! Got a question for you. When doing the under the train shots, what kind of camera do you use and what do you use to keep it from falling? Thanks in advance!
+John B I use a gopro-style camera, it's just like a gopro, except it was way cheaper, like $50. When I bought it, it came with a really small flexible tripod, maybe 5 inches long, and that keeps it from falling.
