omg!!! I had so much fun watching this vlog, and am so glad you enjoyed both books!! I’ll definitely have to check out Brother now-it sounds fantastic! ☺️

I'm about 60% of the way through survivor (also based on Mique's recommendation,) and so far this is the ONLY extreme horror novel to keep me up at night a make me tear up. I truly was not ready for the events that transpire in this book 😭😭😭

Finished brother yesterday morning. I liked it. I saw the twist from a mile away though tbh. And also I wish we knew more about wade and Claudine as to how they became serial killers. Other than that, very well written. I was very impressed

survivor was terrifying...the fact that there are monsters who do stuff like that is what makes it really scary

I used to work at Starbucks about four years ago and remember going in for an open shift, getting to the store around 4am and reading Survivor before I unlocked the doors. LOL talk about feeling like a psychopath, I just couldn’t put the book down!

I just finished Brother and Im horrible person. The ending low key made me laugh spoiler alert: When Michael found out he had the keys to the getaway car it lowkey made me laugh.

Brother is a freaking intense book. I didn't understand what Michael's parents' motivation for helping Reb's plan.

Survivor sounds like a challenge to me. I am so desensitized to like everything. It sounds too over the top to be shocking for me. Generally, when things get that ridiculous I can't take it seriously. Edit: and its out of print

I've just read Brother and loved it! Not too gory for me. I"m thinking about reading Surviour but it's really hard to find and expensive in the UK, does it have many action/fight scenes because if so I probably won't bother as i don't enjoy reading them.

how did you get a physical copy of survivor? i can’t find one for less than like $200. i read it on apple books but there was easily 1000+ typos. i got so frustrated that i ended up hating the book

I think that cops go by there gut. And the snuff film is it always sexual I thought it is mostly murder

Have you read The Girl Next Door by Jack Ketchum? The Girl Next Door is fiction but it is based on the Sylvia Likens case. The Girl Next Door is an amazing book but it's one of the most disturbing books I have ever read. This book is in my Top 5 of all time. The Girl Next Door is told in first person by David Moran. I believe that Jack Ketchum had Stephanie Baniszewski in mind when writing David's character. Gertrude Baniszewski is the real person that is based off of the mother in The Girl Next Door. The Girl Next Door is 3rd on my most disturbing book list, and Survivor is 2nd. My most disturbing book is The Groomer by Jon Athan. Jon Athan is not very well known because he is a independent writer, but he writes fantastic horror and disturbing books. His books have great plots and character development. The Groomer is about a predator organization that takes kids and puts everything on film. The Groomer is a vigilante story. The father goes ballistic to get his daughter back home safely. This was one of the very few times a book actually scared me.

Just read Brother, and am halfway through survivor. Reading Brother all I could think is “House of a thousand corpses” not Chainsaw, although in retrospect chainsaw fits better. Reading survivor 🤦‍♂️😂 where do I begin with Animal, like WTF! I HATE him, but I’m also like what happens next? I’m at the part after he just went wild on the three victims at once, I was like 😧 haha. I Liked Brother it was strong and well written all the way through, ended great! I’m sure survivor will be the same, well written and strong so far. Thanks for the review and your honest opinion over the books.
