I dnf'ed Kulti and I have zero regrets. As a german I was already put off by his haters calling him the "Führer". Like sorry what?! Why would you include something like that? Her calling him Bratwurst etc. was also kinda weird because just like you said just say his name hahah I also find it so funny when people assume that german chocolate cake has something to do with Germany. Babe no one knows that cake over here. It is literally named after an amercian baker called Samuel German. But anyway I would have probably powered thorugh if I didn't find him so unlikeable. Sooo yeah would not recommend this book but if someone wants to read it you do you haha

I‘m Austrian and even I was weirded out when I read Kulti. I enjoyed it overall but the whole time I was thinking that his German representation was a strange choice. The worst thing was that apparently he‘s called “The Führer“ in Germany by some football fans who don‘t like him. Like what? That would never ever happen in Germany or Austria because it’s such a dark part of our history and calling anyone that is considered a huge taboo

Omg the whole ‘my king’ ‘my queen’ I HATE IT it it’s literally one of my icks. I literally can’t do it it takes me out of the story completely. It’s even worse because my own dad does it with his partner - and it’s serious it’s not in a jokey way. When I tell you it makes me gag and want to rip my ears off I’m being serious I cannot 💀

My thing with Kulti, is that I enjoyed their friendship way more than their romance. I feel like their connection came out of nowhere. I think I would've liked the book more if they stayed just friends.

I loved Kulti but i do agree on some of those points though i found it weird how she kept saying poop all the time and i swear if that word alone was taken out the book would have easily been 50 pages short and the whole german chocolate cake thing was weird to but i think those were really my only complaints about the book

So I loved pucking around, I still enjoyed pucking wild but I think pucking around got a higher rating for me because the length made a bit more sense considering there was 4 main characters! I’m just going to again say wait for it is the best Mariana Zapata book 🫶🏼
