Ooh I just finished The Simulacra so I’ll pick that up next! 12 may have been ambitious because I forget how slow I take him since he quietly and sneakily packs so much worldbuilding into every page 😭 we are still gonna aim for it though!!
@@aveyclub yeah his books are crazily dense. But then they’re short. I suspect a lot of other writers would have taken 500+ pages to tell the same stories

A few years ago I started cooking recipes, watching movies, and reading books from different countries and there were so many meat-heavy recipes in South America, I would love to find alternatives. I tried to start again last year from the beginning of the alphabet, but didn't get past Afghanistan lol. I've enjoyed watching Sweet Simple Vegan's videos on veganizing recipes from different cultures! I totally hear you, so many books stay on my shelves that aren't quite my taste anymore, that I don't want to give away, but they're not priority reads.

I feel like half of my reading is just stumbling upon a book on Scribd or Libby and so unplanned. I haven't watched any of their videos in a while but I like them! I mostly just watch Avant Garde Vegan and then don't make any of the recipes lol
