Course Goals
By the end of this course you will be able to:
- Distinguish between Vocal and Silent Shwa
- Give the names and sounds of the three Compound Shwas
- Divide words into Syllables
- Explain where the accent is on Hebrew words
- Read and translate the reading for this course
- Translate the Vocables from Hebrew to English and English to Hebrew

Many years of teaching experience have taught us that it is important for students to have proper exercises to help review the material. We therefore included a grammar summary, 3 worksheets with writing and reading exercises, 3 reading exercises, and a final test.
Requirements:
- You need to know the Hebrew alphabet and the Hebrew vowels.
Completion of the Course:
- You get about 40 minutes of video time
- If you do the worksheets, practice with the readings, and do the final tests at the end of every section, you can complete the course in approximately 5 hours of study time.
