Bc People cant beat this DLC like they did in the normal Game with their Guts Builds and their Bloodhound Fang Weapons. But they dont want use Things this Game offers, like incantations, Buff items , Summon Tears, and then Crys its too hard.
yeah, people dont want to be forced to use specific things, its totally normal, when something is basically a requirement, people tends to not like it. For example i did not enjoy me having to use anti dragon katana against bayle, when i wanted to punch it with dane fists
Yes, a portion of the negative reviews are regarding people whinging that the game is too difficult to do "special runs" without upgrades etc. However, there seems to be something involving a lot of negative reviews from China regarding the anti-cheat software.
People also forget that the endure skill exists. I kept getting killed by those big fire giants jump attack so I just slapped endure on my sword and tanked those attacks. Not pretty, but it works
Thought I would leave behind my building aswell Weapon’s R(always 2 hand when fighting) -quality Nagakiba Double Slash AoW) -Quality Milady(Wing Stance AoW) -Rellana’s Twin Blades Weapon’s L(Support for off hand use) -Serpent Gods Curved sword(heal on Kill) -GodSlayer Seal(Golden Vow, Black Flame Ball, BloodFlame Blade, Lords Heal) -Repeating Cross Bow Armor -iron Kasa Helm -Horned Warrior armor -Beast Champion Gauntlets -Beast Champion Greaves Talisman -DragonCrest Great Shield(15% Damage negation) -Blessed Blue Dew(Regens FP really fast) -Shard of Alexander(15% skill damage) -Takers Cameo(Heal on Kill) Other talismans I’ll quick swap to -Crimson seed(more flash healing) -Drake +3 (depending on the damage type) -lance(more horse back damage vs furnace Giants) -Ritual Shield(take 30% less damage at max HP) -Gold Scarab(quickly switch when killing a boss to get more runes
Gaius is really inconsistent, like the first attack that he does could do 40%, 80% or straight up one shot me, never understood why tho, it took me a lot of attempts to beat him, I would guess 20+, but to be fair I wasn't even using any defensive talisman, or drinking anything so my bad, I never did any of that at any point in the game tho, rellana beat the same way, when I got to bayle tho, I died so many times that i searched on how to get less damage, and then I equipped talisman, used the mix drinks etc, and from then on I had a wayyy easier time on the dlc, but radhan fuck me up, the only boss in the dlc that made me use mimic tear, and the big light attack that he has, just tanks all my frames, the perfomance on the base game was alright, there was some stuttering on the open world, but never in a boss fight, but radhan nuked my frames on that specific attack, the ending to the dlc is trash tho, like bro give me somw epic shit, but that shit is so underwhelming.
From my experience Gaius charge is actually dodgeable in Light load. Although it should still get changed since every attack should be dodgeable in medium load aswell. I struggled a lot more with Radahn and Rellana (tf is that name anyway FromSoftware?) because of their very slim attack windows that most of the time just get used up by healing from the hard to dodge 30s combos. One Boss that personally stood out to me was definently the Scadutree Avatar, I really like the design and unique Phase mechanic. Even though it's extremely weak to fire damage it's still a challenging fight. (No I am not that insane to wear close to 0 armor, I just used the tear that gives you 5x equip load.)
Just for the record, no, DSP definitely was not enjoying the DLC. Until….. he looked up a guide and figured out how to get the strongest armor and the strongest weapon and then over leveled and now he’s cheesing the hell out of the game. Only then, did he start enjoying it. When he realized he couldn’t just magic spam everything with Comet Azure and Moonlight spam he threw an absolute tantrum. As for me, I enjoyed the DLC. I do have one major issue though. Like you said there were performance issues during that final fight. A lot of visual diarrhea from all of the holy attacks. It actually made my PC stutter quite a bit and it’s a fairly beefy system. Certainly more powerful than any console on the market. I’m sure they’ll fix it eventually.
I genuinely can’t understand the people who complain about the scadutree fragments requiring exploration. Like, did you play the base game? Did you not have to search for smithing stones? Did you just not upgrade your weapon or something? Cause this is literally the same system.
My only issue is that there are only a few weapons in the new category’s at least what I found so far but if the only issue I have is that I want more then that’s amazing
I am still working through this DLC so I can't give a full opinion yet, but I have fought a few bosses, Dancing Lion, Rellana, a few of the NPC fights, and so far, the only boss that I have had major problem with is Bayle (just beat him last night) and the two reasons why I had problems with him was right when you enter the arena he would always flame breath the entry door so it was hard to even start the fight without loosing 3 to 4 estus flasks, and the other reason was chasing him around the entire arena as he zipped from one side to the other. Had I had access to Torrent, I probably would have beaten him in my first 3 attempts. So far DLC is 10/10, CURSE YOU BAYLE!!!!!
Even a lvl 100 can do max damage or close to it and be a glass cannon lvl 200 300 just improves other stats to make things more versatile or survivable
Level 250 character here, took me 7 tries to beat last boss. I used a STR/FTH build. I even used the new Ancient Meteoric Ore GS and I wasn't optimizing the damage but it still did was it had to do while I rocked mostly defensive talismans myself. If there's any advice I can give to make things easier, a lot of bosses in SotE are rather susceptible to Bleed, so Arcane users, your time is once again now.
Holy shit we have very similar builds! Only difference is I wear turtle shield on my back and I wear omen smirk hat. Also I didn't have too much trouble with Gaius I only died like 2 or 3 times. ( then again I was at 18 scadutree blessing and new game difficulty ).
It did take me 15 tries for the final boss. Yeah i will admit i did the shield poke style. Took me a bit time to work with it, as much when it was done and over i was relieved. Just the performance did needed to be rework, fuck the Commander Albernoric, yeah as much i do agreed nerf, and do bit rework with final boss. Somehow i got the spam happy boss that just love to spam. IDK if was my PS5 or just the game had the patch to come out and just glitched out very badly. As much i had 17 blessings still getting whooped. To the point again earlier i did go with rot build up and bleed weapon, 100 block shield, as much scholar knowledge to buff the shield, and heaviest poise armor. Which i did find a video how to since i was doing with my mimic as well since no summons as much no PSN. That just me.
So I've recently reinstalled Elden Ring and began a brand new character (got to get the rust off somehow right?) I don't own the Dlc myself but have watched a friend play it and both of us agree: yup, they hit hard, they are a challenge, and that's why their Bosses
I don't personally enjoy scavenging the entire map, or having to read a guide on how to get fragments to do damage, but its all instantly no longer an issue to me once I got into NG+ and noticed I had all of my blessings still there. I wouldn't want to do this EVERY time I entered the DLC, having to memorize 50 spots if I didn't want to twist and turn to look at a guide. I'm so glad they made that choice. (I'm also forever salty about phase 2 Radahn, zero fun for me at all. If we're going back to your call of duty analogy, well Radahn phase 2 feels like a Call of Duty free for all lobby getting flash banged every room you enter, and getting hit by what can only be described as two trains to the cranium.)
i just finished the final boss, and now im gonna start a brand new run from RL1, the DLC is not 10/10, its 11/10! and if me, a casual can beat this, then you all can too 👌🏻
Bullgoat isnt the BEST best armor, thats just what silly and stupid people say, its got good all round protection and the best POISE but against bosses that will always stagger you that poise is wasted there are other pieces with the best defense for certain types of damage negation but generally its fine to wear what you like the look of for most things
Wow didnt even know scadutree goes up to +20 i finished the game with 14. Anyway bosses are most certainly doable but many just have frustrating mechanics. Gaius has the stupid charge, the lord of frenzy can legit one shot you because it can proc madness and dodging the frenzied flames he throws is depended on luck alot, the hit boxes of mesmer's snakes are wonky at times, the hippo kinda sucks too because of atrocious camera angles. In general most bosses were a slog to go through but they are more than doable.
i dont get the reviews , ok i explored for hours before the 1st boss i did , the beast and it was 1st try and the ensis boss was 2nd try wich was 5% left and i made a few mistakes in a row . gauis was my 3rd remembrance i did and died like 20 times in the 1st 20 sec of the fight , and yes the charge, 4rd i did the rot insect boss 3rd ish try , so im probably not going in the right order , but i like exploring, went into the keep from the side 1st , so ii just went to the front and killed the hippo 1st try
Klutzyy mah boi. I agree with you on ALMOST every front. I hate to be a "I did it just fine" guy without evidence so imma turn you to Jev. Jev dodges the charge attacks just fine lol check his channel. The boss is still too annoying tbh. I think the worse part of the bosses is they're too aggressive.
The Adam Sandler Movie is Billy Madison. Great movie, Chris Farley stole the movie. But yeah, these people are ridiculous. Fromsoft DLC is always harder than the main game.
While I haven't played Elden Ring yet, but the only game that I can think of (at least for me) would be Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty DLC 2 last boss I found it to be fully BS.
What a f 20 is the max lvl. I already have 72 resistance without buffs and I have just 10 upgrades. If I use buffs and go down to 75% hp + I am owerloaded I can get 95% resistance. And you telling me I can get 10% more.
I love rahdan and his fight He beat my ass like I stole his momma for 7 hours straight came close to killing him twice and died I'm on new game plus 5 or 6 finna do 7 only thing I don't like is commander charge attack and new game difficulty is so high its insane low tier enemies can slide u down a hill in 2 hits and I got heavy armor and all the fragments I don't mind the difficulty but I just wanna upgrade armor Yea it's fine when your new game or plus 3 maybe but I started at 5 or 6 and I get 2 to 3 shot by bosses and some enemies I've seen the same combo that takes some one half health on there playthrough completely obliterate me like I got hit with lore accurate destined death and I'm level 363 I just need to lvl int and arc everything else is hard cap and I'm still squishy But I do the damage tho so that's y I'm fine it'll be a problem once they start nerfing builds they'll basically take that away and I won't be able to defend myself If I can burst down a boss before they one shot me its fine I'll just learn and get gud to dodge right everyone complaining about difficulty is still on new game or plus 1 didn't even beat mohg after 2 years there cries fuel my flames of messmer who would pay for a dlc to run through it in a hour with op builds I like the fact I can use my already op build and make it stronger as I go its like a elden ring 2 but I start the game with what I had in the last game
Finished the DLC. It wasnt that damn hard geeez. But Im someone that has beaten all the Ninja Gaiden games on Master Ninja multiple times. And thats far more challenging than anything from FromSoft
Yea DLC was insanely good! I haven't had any performance issues on PC to be honest. I just used comet Azur and buffs and talismans on all bosses never had an issue. Also, using summons is a skill issue lol just my opinion sorry.
Hey, I got a good video for you. Why don't you make one about how stalker just released mods on console? But because of Sony not Xbox, sony's contract that restricts script, making it limits like 95% of all the original modes won't be able to be played on Xbox. People are already b******* about it on Reddit. How they're either being lazy or the cater and Sony didn't want.Xbox have good mom's like fall out 4
I haven’t watched the video yet but here’s what I got to say Yes the dlc is hard. They hand crafted it for 2 yrs and letting players steamroll it with op builds is not a good thing The new leveling mechanic, Scadutree fragments insures ur not over or underpowered. Instead of giving you a flat buff, it enhances ur damage & defenses by a % based on ur build. The philosophy of the base game carries over here where you need to explore and get stronger. It also builds on the dodge mechanic but now it’s more intricate as you need to dodge in a specific direction based on the attack and angle. If u r having trouble, use summons, use co op, and get stronger. Other than the preformance issues it’s almost perfect
