Thanks, so glad you've been enjoying the series! I can't wait for Saturday as well. I was at the station today (not for filming though), and they've got the ticket booth painted to match the ones at Reading and Pittston.

I can’t believe that it’s this weekend already Jamie. I’m so excited for it since I’ll be riding in the new Pullman the “Schuylkill River”. Gonna be a neat and rare mileage trip on Saturday. Hope you have fun if our paths don’t cross!

Hey there Dennis, and thanks for the public service announcement. We should take bets on how many ladder people are out there on the chase Saturday. That chase is gonna be off the charts manic, and I'm glad I'm riding this one instead (though part of me still wishes I was dodging ladders and chasing lol).
@@JamieMakin I will be in premium coach just short of going for the Pullmans, so those coaches probably will have AC in them. Bringing umbrella’s just in case though.
One question, when they planned this new station, (and others), why didnt they enclosed some of it for inclement weather protection for those travelling between Outer Station and Jim Thorpe, Pittston, etc?🤔❔
There will be an indoor waiting area with seating inside of Building 4. Also when the weather is bad, we often start boarding the train early so folks don't have to wait in the elements.
@@JamieMakin some discussion has taken place about several R & N loaded coal hoppers westbound through Montour Iowa recently. My theory is theyre heading to a facility that cant burn Bituminous, so R & N is providing Anthracite for them. Is my theory fairly close, or far fetched 🤔❔
Good evening Jamie. Great update! Do you happen to know what the plan is after 2102 returns to Nesquehoning? Will it then be heading back to Port Clinton? Can't make it to Tunkhannock but I'd like to catch her somewhere on the return. Thanks Jamie.
Yes, 2102 will return to Port Clinton tomorrow evening after the Ramble. The train is scheduled to return to Nesquehoning at 8:00. After the passengers are off and the car hosts and crew finish up, the train will go back to JT to drop off the coaches. 2102 and a diesel will then go back to Port Clinton. I'm guessing they will turn 2102 on the wye so she's facing north once she's back in Port Clinton. Hope you'll be able to catch some of the action on the return trip and the ferry move after.
I've got a ticket for the 22nd. Any idea what they are going to do about turning the engine or train at Tunkhannock? Looking at both MapQuest and the railroad's system map there does not appear to be even a runaround siding there.
Either take it to Pittston during the layover or have diesels lead back to Pittston then 2102 lead back to Nesquehoning. Those of you who are riding will find out. We had tickets but then the man who lives with us decided that he couldn't handle going and we got the tickets refunded.
@@robkrasinski6217 I had thought they might take the train to Pittston to turn it, as the railroad's system map shows a wye there, and we have a four hour layover, so they could do that. I wasn't sure if they would want to take the time to do that, rather than just tow us backwards to Pittston upon departure. I tend to think the R&N would want to go the extra mile and turn the train during the layover, since they run a class operation.
From what I understand, 2102 will runaround the consist in Tunkhannock, then run tender first back to Pittston. Once there, 2102 will disconnect, turn on the wye, then lead headfirst back to Nesquehoning. There will also be stops in Penobscot/Mountain Top to take on water.
