This video helps beginning flute players to learn how to read their notes and be able to play them on the flute by breaking the song down into smaller sections. Using the 3 step process, students learn how to read their first 5 notes.
This is literally teaching me more than my stupid band teacher who just tells us to copy notes and lets us figure it out on our own and tells me I might be bad in band.He literally doesn't understand how hard it is for a person who has no experience with music reading to understand this stuff.I learn so much more watching youtube videos than sitting in a virtual class listening to a stupid teacher who has no idea who his students are.Thank you so much this helped me alot.
I haven't played my flute... in nearly 20 years. And I am preparing to purchase one again. Do it!! I haven't played in 31 years and bought a cheap Walmart one. I've forgotten more than remembered but I miss it so much and I'm angry with myself that I stopped playing in the first place! Even though I'm basically a beginner again it makes me feel good! So do it! Get that young feeling again!!
@ibmoondance23 I did! This comment was 4 years ago. I now have a cheap nickle flute, and I bought and electric flute to use with my audio studio. It was a lot of fun getting back into it ^.^ I hope you get back to it too!
It’s ok I know how you feel I want a flute I’ve wanted one since I was 5 yr old and I even watch how to do stuff for flute so when I get one or maybe get one it will be easy
All notes are the same just different fingering for all instruments which is something people should know about first especially when switching. I have switched from clarinet to flute and am starting piano and I plan on using mello too and hopefully euphonium. Another tip is for the rests if it’s a half rest the symbol is pointing up when it’s a whole rest it’ll be pointing down.
Explanation sound great, but how am I supposed to know how many or wuch hole to cover on my flute when playing a not? Secondly, why are you playing a piano when teaching flute...?
