Reading the Essays that got me into MIT 🤩 

MIT really emphasizes teamwork and collaboration and a lot of your essays have aspects of your appreciation for teamwork so I think that could be a reason your essays work.

These are literally good. They're simple, straightforward, and each portrays a value that you might have. It probably seems cringe to you cuz you know how it actually was. But, they get the point across. Not sure why everyone in the comments is beating the essays up so much.

I feel like unless you're a hella good writer most people write similar essays. They're not the best but they come off as original and average. Most of my friends wrote essays like these and got into good schools :)

i literally deleted my personal statement off my computer as soon as i got my place at uni and i’m so mad cause i want to look back after watching this and laugh at myself lol

essays aren’t everything. extracurriculares and grades aren’t everything. but you do have to stand out so it can be just one of those things! and clearly nina was amazing at everything else so the essays didn’t matter as much. me, on the other hand, definitely relied on my essays to get into my uni lmao

i personally really liked essay #3! it carried the message well across that you’re a patient mentor figure and that you would definitely help out the mit community for those who are generally inexperienced but seeking to be the best!

I loved the absolute chaos in this video. I feel like sometimes it's so hard to know what universities/colleges in this US are looking for -- I got rejected from so many colleges and still don't really know what they were looking for so I really appreciate the transparency you always shown in your videos -- you are such a big inspiration for my own channel!

Same as me, the schools that accepted me (or gave me interviews) I thought were the ones I wrote bad essay on, because they were due Dec 1s (and by dec 15 for other schools I iterate my essays much better but none interviewed me at all). This is for PhD grad school. PS MIT had the toughest 5 interviews (but I passed!). PS2 Nina stands out because she is gymnastic at national level!

the most important rule of life may also be the most important rule for college application essays...do no harm...and your essays not only did you no harm, but they effectively presented you as a person who thinks about things other than just yourself...and this video will surely help other college applicants...which is in keeping with your personality that strives to reach out and entertain...your essays were real and believable as you knew they would be to admissions officers...the character you play in these videos is also real and believable...but i don't believe for a minute that you have now permanently deleted these essays from your laptop...because you seem to understand that all your videos have memorialized this time in your life for posterity...and the same is true for the essays that helped get you into MIT during that earlier time in your life...and btw, this video was one of your best!

You highly underestimate yourself. Your topics that you’ve chosen to write about may have been a little.... questionable, but the execution of reasoning is beautiful. I can see how they accepted you. You talked about mundane topics and went in-depth to a point that it made them kinda interesting.
