There's honestly something so comforting about your vlogs - don't ever feel pressured to "create" something that is outside of your reality. Footage of an authentic morning coffee is always better than forced fun

You’re lovely. And when you speak of your ‘bad brain’ days, you are being very brave and doing people who watch you a great service. There is a diminishment of honesty these days and an even greater diminishment of kindness. You always bring kindness to the fore. And I really enjoy your book reviews. As for reading for school, even classics aren’t always fun a read. Some are positively painful. In the end we learn, even if that particular book sucks, that it makes a great base to even out a rocky table. Good vibes sent your way.

Same here, I'm watching this vid at the beginning of a bad brain night, and I... I just love Noelle so much. I know it's just words from a stranger and I can't mean that much, but I do love her. She's so wonderful and spontaneous and I love her.

When you said that you didn’t know what happened when you were 27 and how you used to have a happy sunshine mind and then it all changed, that really hit. That was so well put. So relatable and sad. I am 28 and I will randomly get hit with the “aren’t I supposed to be happy by now?” Feeling. Like, I’m an adult and I’m still so unfinished. I know that posting videos showing vulnerability is so hard. But this vlog made me feel something. And isn’t that what art is all about? So I applaud you for the bravery and I am hoping you all the best.

Sorry to hear it's a hard time for family right now. What I love most about you compared to other youtube is that you have your priorities straight and don't use RU-vid to create a fake idealistic persona. You're just authentic YOU and that's what your viewers enjoy!! So refreshing. Your new hair looks great!

I just graduated in August with my BS and I had a lot of really negative feelings towards school for the bulk of my career like you... What really helped me though, was to regularly remind myself how unbelievably fortunate I was to have the ability to attend school and get a degree; that I could afford it and I had the time to do it. Way too many people in our country never get that opportunity (I firmly believe post secondary education should be a right, not a privilege). Idk, it just helped to remind myself how lucky I was when too many people never get the chance to even finish high school, let alone go on to college. Reframing those negative thoughts to a place of gratitude can help a lot, at least it does for me.

Starting university I was looking forward to it so much, but now three years in, the motivation is not there anymore, and my outlook is so negative. I understand how you feel & I’m sure a lot of others do as well❤️ gonna get through it we’re strong as hell woo!!

I love how honest your vlogs are. It’s not just a highlight reel of rainbows and butterflies but real life with ups and downs and “meh”. And it sounds like school has become an obligation rather than a passion, but I bet you’re right it’s due to the online environment. I always felt like school isn’t so much about what you’re learning in class, but rather time management and maintaining balance. You’ll get through it! And you’ll be stronger in future struggles because you’ve done it before! Xoxo

The "done with school" thing is soooo relatable. Literature has been my love for the entire 21 years of my life. Yes, I hated exams but I always loved the learning aspect of Literature during my undergraduate years. Even during academically stressful times, I never hated the subject. The last semester was the only time in my life when my love for literature was gone. It was a massive chore. I hated it. And now I'll probably go on for a Masters degree. And while, I really really want to do a masters in literature and I know that deep down my love is still there, idk how much of that love is gonna come to the surface. Ugh!

I've been in a similar mindset towards school for the past 7-8 years. What has helped me is- •Never denying my feelings. There are no good or bad moods--feelings. They're our feelings that need to be tended to. I always ask myself why am I feeling this way and try to journal it with complete honesty, I type everything even the ones I don't want my loved ones to know about. Then I try to reason my feelings, usually, we know the answers to most confusion. • Next I stop doing everything for a moment, slowly pick up something I know makes me feel good. (Mostly it's making DIYs, reading, watching a good show) •Only then do I work/study. I'm a sensitive perfectionistic blob, so if I do a bad job because of my mood. It's like hell broke lose for me. I know people always say be grateful and optimistic. That's beautiful and hopeful, but there are days when everything is just blank as you said "a bad brain day". These days we don't have the mental capacity to address what's good in life, and for me when I try to be optimistic, it ends up making me sadder for not being grateful enough. It's a vicious cycle of self-hatred causing self-destruction. Denial can bleed these moments from some hours to months. I'm aware not everyone has the luxury to take breaks, but please try to in the little ways you can, we are working to live our lives, not the other way around. There is nothing wrong with being sad and feeling everything sucks, it's okay. In moments like this, the only thing that matters is us taking care of ourselves with compassion and resilience. Love you, Noelle! 💛

You underestimate how much light you bring to those who watch your channel, sweet friend. Just by showing up, being yourself, being vulnerable, sharing your passion for literature, and allowing us into your heart and home. It all brings so much light and in a world that's filled with lots of darkness these days, that's a blessing. Remember that on your bad brain days (also, stealing that phrase because it's incredibly accurate.) P.S. I'm in love with RomComs, but haven't ventured into more serious romance novels like One True Loves sounds like. Might have to pick it up and give it a try!

The "Noelle 5 seconds ago" bit was so good haha! I'm right at the end of my PhD and I totally get your feelings towards school. The pandemic being mixed with being so far into academia already just made me feel really overwhelmed and exhausted. But I know I'll miss this part of my life when it's over so I've been trying to tell myself to appreciate it while I have it! What I love about your vlogs is how candid they are. So if you don't vlog because you're in the moment with family or having a bad brain day, that's totally okay! Also your hair looks fantastic! ❤️ I think my favourite romance book is actually more of a breakup book haha (so maybe doesn't even count)! It's Out of Love by Hazel Hayes and it's heart breaking but hopeful all at the same time. It basically starts with the couple breaking up and then moves backwards in time through their relationship!

I always look forward to your new videos, especially your vlogs. When you said "I had such a happy brain for 26 years and then when I turned 27 I just lost it", it was like you were reading my mind. I have not been in a good place mentally lately, and I turned 27 this year. A lot of things are changing, as well within ourselves as in the world. A lot has happened, and we can't forget or underestimate the impact it has on all of us. You hit me hard with this vlog, because I could totally relate. And I know there are a lot of people out there who also relate to this. That's the fun thing about you though : you keep it so real. Dude. My brain switched around 27 also. You're not alone my friend, and this vlog was fabulous. The honesty and self awareness was what I needed in my life and I didn't even know it

I just have such mad respect for your consistency to keep some kind of exercise in your life when you're having bad days. That is my biggest struggle and even though I know it helps me feel better I can't find the motivation. Much love ❤️💯

I absolutely agree with you about the way you feel and think about studying. I've been feeling very unmotivated to study these days. Just lost that kind of determination you need. I absolutely loved Malibu Rising. It was my first book by her and I adored it. Definitely want to read more of her older books now. One True Loves sounds wonderful ☺

27 was a hard year! It's a weird sort of in-between age. Plus the way we conduct school, work, social time is so different from what we humans are designed to experience it really can cause trauma to your emotional and mental health. And school online is SO MUCH harder than in person. The community of academia is harder to enjoy without in person energy. Thank you for being so honest with your audience, and documenting what this bizarre time in history is like. Also, your videos are a great inspiration for reading materials! Thank you!
