Okay so this movie isn't exactly perfect and has its fair share of problems, but there are a handful of moments that make this movie worth a watch. Mecha Godzila taking on Gundam and Iron Giant is one of those moments.

I do wish it was Ultraman who finished it like in the book. Honestly, the book would've worked much better as a mini-series than a feature film. With that being said, I honestly think they should've stuck with this design for Mechagodzilla in Godzilla vs Kong. It strikes the perfect balance of classic and new.

@@Titanium-Fury06 they gave a subtle hint of that in the movie, at the start, the Asian guy trying to suicide cuz he lost his avatar, but in the book Sorrento sent a bunch of his goons to Daito’s apartment, they grabbed Daito from the chair he was playing from and dropped him from a 43rd floor, on the news they reported it as “just another suicide cuz the guy lost his avatar in the game”, but it was all Sorrento, he ordered his goons to attack the high five, and they had info on all of them but Aech, which kept on moving in her RV.

Hell yeah! That was awesome, I’ve never watch gundam before but now I want to after that fight scene. Also I’m glad that the iron giant got to help seal that win, cause iron giant is probably my favorite movie of all time. Watched it a lot as a kid and the giant’s sacrifice and him coming back to life still makes me cry to this day.

Fun fact: the book originally had him use Kiryu (or millennium Mecha-G) but when they were making the movie they decided to make a knew design, Toho suggested the based the design on a poster for Godzilla vs MechaGodzilla 2

@charlespackowski6620 that was because it was meant ti be ultraman, who is famously known for his time limit, and the beeping signifying his detransformation. It was meant to be ultraman vs mechagodzilla as it was in the books, but apparently they couldn't for reasons if I recall

Daito is a W friend and player saved his friends in the Last second, and with his Last 10 seconds with the Gundam, he still went to the All-out game, And showed his Middle finger before being burned and loosing is items giving time to his friends to rise again What a Legend 🌟, He certainly honored his culture 😎

After reading the book I wish they had done what they did there in this battle, all the high five except Daito fought against Sorrento using a giant robot, and Sorrento had a team of 10 of his soldiers using giant bots aswell, that battle would’ve been so epic! 😢
