Island of the Sea Women was really wonderful.

I'm in the UK and started reading GINGERBREAD by Helen Oyeyemi the other day and have fallen in love with it. It's the first of Helen's books that I have read. Even though I've not yet finished reading it I have gone out and bought What Is Not Yours Is Not Yours and Boy, Snow, Bird both by this author.

I read Speak and Winter Girls by Anderson in high school. I had no idea there was going to be a follow up to Speak, but thanks for bringing it to my awareness

The Golem and the Jinni is by Helene Wecker actually. G Willow Wilson’s book is Alif the Unseen (I read both in college) :)

I have Gingerbread and Daisy Jones on hold. Can't wait to read them especially Gingerbread. Thank you for sharing!!!
