I can't believe it's been 10 years since I first heard this. They hadn't even graduated yet! And ten years later, we have Christmas Story, Dogfight, and Dear Evan Hansen!
What people don’t know is that Shoshana has done EVERY single demo for every movie, every musical. She doesn’t get half the credit for developing them into the success story they are. She is their Bernadette to their Sondheim.
i have to say, sure who wouldn't love stephen schwartz's music, but i love shosh so much more because of the personal touches she puts into all of her songs.
Totallly agrreeed. Shows like this: sing your heart out and make it your own. Wicked performances: enough of the riffs. I love Stephen Schwartz the way he is.
Irionically, however sad this is, had it not been for Tyler's death, Shoshana never would have blessed us with her true gift of independent music. She would be another Stephanie J. Starring in Broadway musicals getting stuck in collecting paychecks. It's interesting however morbid that everything has a greater purpose.
