For clarification, the model is Nordhavn 60 (N60), not 62...despite its overall length. They're fantastically capable boats with TONS of storage and bunkering for extended cruising. They're also very customizable, with numerous interior layouts available, mostly designed by past customers. It's arguably one of the most mature yacht designs anywhere in the world. And with a solid 4-6 inch thick hull (152mm) in key areas, it's also a f--king tank! haha. 👍🏼
@@muumoo111 If you mean the N41, N51, N625, and N71 then you would be correct. They are meant to be delivered as a complete package to help keep costs down for the customer. That said, there is a level of soft goods customization being offered as a credit prior to final delivery, most specifically on the N71...so that the customer has some say in the look and feel of the boat. This allows the customer to get a quality yacht, without having to go through the [sometimes tedious] process of the initial design and customization process, which can prove to be overwhelming to some people who don't realize just how bespoke a Nordhavn can be. However, the rest of the line (N475, N52, N56MS, N59CP, N60, N63, N68, etc) are still quite customizable.

So some one is going to buy a blue water boat to cross an ocean, a boat that need 2 year build time, but they lake the knowledge to make decisions on what they want on their boats? I like Nordhavn, but this interior is horrendous and very depressing, the interior looks like a funeral coffin on the water. Perhaps the idea is that the owner needs to finish it him / herself, but in that case I would show the boat in the finished state. On top of that, I am missing the engine room, which is for me almost the most important part.
this boat at the time of this video at 2022 flibs was not finished being commissioned. the interior was not done. the interior design also has alot to do with the customer. you can pick wood and colors, joinery style, etc. you can basically do whatever you want. this one in particular i am not crazy about either. all teak interior and too much of it.
Can that vessel handle the 60-70+ meter rogue waves or the subsea methane gas bubbles that rise up, envelope a surface object and drop it down hundreds of meters below the ocean surface you will encounter!
I do not think that most people will encounter what you describe. Not all rogue waves are that big and those are extrememly rare to begin with. Most rogue waves encountered are less then 10 feet. Your methane bubble story though is good for a laugh and can say without a doubt the boat will not be sucked down in the water by it.
