Buddha didn't lie. His teaching was delivered to different audiences at different times. Each teaching is to address the doubts of his target audience. Even for the same audience, his teaching can be different under different circumstances. Nothing is fixed and change is the center of all teachings....

It could be likely those people don’t have enough wisdom to comprehend what he actually meant. I can relate because no matter how you try to adapt the “truth”/ your wisdom and knowledge to the level of others, it’s precisely because of their inherent level that they still can’t comprehend even the tailored truth. Basically, actual truth they can’t accept it. Tailored truth is only to the level that probably can be accepted but it’s not actual truth and so these people, clearly without the actual level of comprehension, would preach the tailored truth as the real truth. and this I think truly enlightened people would know for a fact that it’s better to give the concept that people should figure out themselves and there is no objective truth in general. They wouldn’t want to “brainwash” others to their truths because it likely wouldn’t work and is not helpful for others. So if I’m correct, the Buddha talks about developing critical thinking to figure out truths on oneself mainly. Don’t take others’ truths as absolute truth and try to question why they think that it’s as such. I figured out that most people don’t even truly know why the truths they believe in because when I questioned their claims logically, they can’t even “defend” it and even feel threatened. I’m used to it already. So I figured out most people don’t actually know what they claim to be truths and just simply “copy and paste” information (likely to boost their ego and knowledgeable and not really wanting to seek the actually truth).

So from my own critical thinking and reflection to figure out what actually the objective truth is from the various sources of information I encountered and discussion made is that as of now, I have came to the conclusion that: I personally believe that there is no absolute “truth” and that was likely what truly enlightened people realise. and so assuming if Buddha was truly enlightened, he knew this fact and knew that people’s reality can differ base on what they choose to believe in deep down and saying something as absolute truth would actually “brainwash”/ affect them to what one feels is the truth that they experienced.

@@kennySg101 firstly person without religion can be Enlighten but person full of religion can't be Enlighted. Buddha never created Buddhism Jesus never created Christianism Shiva never created Hinduism. because Dhrama can't be created. dharma is when you are aware of reality of mind. people became Buddhist for what to get Enlighted nirvana so mind full thought about becoming something, but something only can attain by peace mind .so today Buddhism can create many scholars but not Enlighted people.

This monk is not fit to be a Buddhist monk - he is sowing division among Buddhist, exactly what the Buddha warn about. Buddhist are taught not to simply believe but to investigate every sutra & figure out oneself & only accept if it makes sense.

Real Buddhist monks live in jungle retreats & shy away from society - they don't get onto Internet & broadcast to the world. In fact it is difficult to get in touch with them as they are practicing hard to attain Enlightenment & if they have they still keep away from society.U can only meet them when they come around for alms.

He is a Buddhist monk but new kind more modern and somehow contradicts himself !!! I agree with you : he needs be more mindful of his words because they can be misunderstood…. His predecessors were founders of Reme’ ( non sectarian ) movement, who United the many Buddhist schools of Tibet! So he is not sowing division but makes us exactly what Buddha ask us to do: investigate all teachings before you except as truth….

I have seen Master Venerable Ripoche's other videos on his teachings of Buddha. But unfortunately, in this video, he spoke gibberish without mental clarity and showed emotional agitation. Unfortunately he also made unnecessary negative subtle remarks on the late Zen Master Thay@Thich Nhat Hanh. Hope Venerable Rinpoche can calm himself down when he disagrees with other Dhama teachers. ❤❤ 0:24 😊❤

In the Dhammapada Buddha said “through earnest effort Indira became lord of the gods”. This line highlights the point this monk is trying to make. Buddha was using a story the audience knew from the Upanishads to teach them the value of earnest effort. It doesn’t mean he believed in Gods or Indira - it simply means he used the words people would know to move them towards the realizations necessary to obtain enlightenment. The goal wasn’t to tell the truth it was to help us see the ultimate truth and taking things literally without any regard for who he was speaking to can result in an incomplete understanding of his teachings. Reincarnation and other aspects often fiercely defended by followers of Buddhism may simply be extensions of prevailing beliefs of Buddhas day that he used as vehicles to move the listeners towards the ultimate truth.

Earth is only round because anything in the 3D universe converge at a point due to gravity to form a sphere. One could really argue that, if your mind can go beyond 3D perception, the earth's roundness is very much contextual, just like any other concepts ever existed. And any concept by beings I'm the 3D world , can somewhat be considered "round" to a relative extent. In fact , the only way we can imagine the smallest particle , is also round. So roundness is really an inevitable construct of any being in a 3D world.

Nothing exists apart from you All creation open with opening your eyes / consciousness in any realm . And all creation closes with closing your eyes/ consciousness in any realm . It's important to know what tradition he is studying, Theravada or Mahayana and its other branches. Theravada Thripitaka can trace back to the first Sangayana, and it's a summarized notes and logs of Buddha's teachings composed by the great Arahantha Theros from the time of Gothama Buddha. However, the Mahayana developed into a religion of its own. First developed from Theravada based on "Vinaya" and branched off from doctrine wise from 1st cemetery B.C.E. onward. Mahayana is not exactly the Buddha's teachings. However, most of the core principles are the same in Theravada and Mahayana traditions. 🙏

Realities never exist in comparison. You have to practice to see the reality as it is in the present because nothing remain the same for the lasting. There is no issue but you are creating by comparison to others. Buddha's teaching is you have to find what your heart says not what Buddha's saying.

Do you think karma truly exists in the way that most people think it works? Such as every action that one takes to harm others would actually build up karmic debt in them? For example, if one is actually doing something “correctly” and others actually make this person doubt what they are doing and “correct” and even tries to prevent them from doing it in any ways (for example dismissing someone saying the truth or trying to shed light on the truth, preventing them from even spreading the truth and even finding ways to harm destroy this person because they feel that he/ she is a threat). Does this actually cause a lot of negative karmic debt for the person who tries to “attack” the “good person”? I have read that one creates even more negative karma if one tries to destroy, prevent, affect individuals who are actually doing the right thing and spreading the right teachings in any form.
@waykee3
@waykee3 18 дней назад
It’s like maybe what this person does it actually correct and then because of all these “bad actors” that constantly go against this person, this person eventually changes (maybe becoming bad in order to fit in or choosing to not do certain things that would actually be good (for example not saying what is right)) and that actually sort of prevents the person to actually do what he meant to do actually in this lifetime. Does the people that actually change this person in such a way actually is creating very “negative” karma? (Butterfly effect; creating a chain of events that has very detrimental outcomes).

There is different between, "everything is like illusion or dream" and "everything is illusion or dream". This will be prove by a small example, go to a supermarket in india, buy a pressure cooker. Then bang that pressure cooker on your head. If you feel sweet pain. Then how will get a real life experience that, "Yes , everything is like a dream not a actual dream". 😅😅😅 This is a Bhuddhist way of explaining the short-lived moment of human life. For example, if i say, my childhood days was like a dream. The person have lived that time, but times changes, and that short moment of childhood period is like dream experience when we wake up from a dream. Everything is gone. Great master, Shantidev says, "You don't have to kill a enemies but they will die sooner or later".

I welcome any feedback. For example, if I’m right or wrong and why so. I don’t like people just claiming something without being open to logical discussion, which I usually encounter in general which likely just makes me feel that most people are just “trolling”. It also further proves my point when they get offended and claim that I’m trolling with logical arguments and not just uncivilised obvious hateful comments that make no sense. It shows a lot that they are the one’s with the issue and as time passes, I start to analyse and figure out that it likely is them and not me. I used to always try to be more careful with how I express because people always report, block, avoid, call me out for my improper behaviours etc. and then when I slowly observe that they are having double standards (people cannot do and they can do concept) and then I think I know that most people in fact are the issue.

There are two sects of Buddhism. I'm sure the reverend teacher here is from Mahayana sect of Buddhism. If one wants to understand Buddha's teaching then one has to find a Buddha today. Buddha means the Enlightened one and there are many enlightened beings today. I have a spiritual teacher and many people says that he is enlightened. All of his followers including myself, we are told to not kill a single living animals, or flies or insects or birds etc. And one must not consume any sort of meat. Just like that if you consume meat or kill animals then Buddism is not for you and you will never understand what Buddha was trying to say. If any of your spiritual teacher consume meat then you are wasting your time

The Original Buddha Doctrine is different from these " Hindu/Jain" derived concepts, that are being spread all over the world, by people who have not entered the Path. That is why the Buddha reiterated that one should teach only after entering the Path. The Buddha spoke of ANATTA, which is basic in His Doctrine. It means NO SOUL. No me. No I. Which means there is NO person, except the senses - from smell. Sight. Hearing. Taste. Mind and memory. In the Dev DAHA Sutta, Categorically states " If anyone says that one endures is a consequence of previous actions " that NOT the Buddha Doctrine, but is Niganta (Hindu) doctrine. The Buddha Bhawa means one thought. PUNAR Bhawa means the next new thought. Therefore it is the thought that follows one after the other. Therefore it is obvious that there is no me l/ person to be reborn. The thoughts follow in a sequence and there is no KAMMA as described by the Hindu/ Jain faith, where there is reward on one hand and punishment or damnation on the other, as is the case in Christianity. The Original Buddha Doctrine, before it was mixed with the Hindu faith, is Supra-mundane and Supra-cortical. Not these mundane false concepts such as rebirth of the person. Do your research and enter the Path, through " Cheto VIMUKTHI" which one could follow with a fee, through Denageneemen Nivanata via the Internet. Until one enters the Path to Nibbana, by entering the first stage ( Sowahn) it is incorrect to teach or preach, which is like BLIND LEADING THE BLIND. Add a comment...

It is completely out of character with the teachings of the Buddha which comes directly from the heart, Buddha's heart, not from sharp tongues of 'honest' Lamas - tongues like a knife that never misses a chance to cut up, divide and diminish, to force-speak the Unspoken.
