Thanks for telling us your story. As a nurse of 23 years, I've got mine, too. Even though time passes, that one story will rip open a hole in your soul, and start bleeding again. I can't imagine having to make the call for flight care or not. God bless you for trying to help families with cost management.

Thanks for sharing to RU-vid. I can’t imagine how hard it was to put the dots together for the siblings ❤. I am so sorry about Buddy 😢 I hope Moe heals his wounds and all their anxiety.❤❤

Thank you. They all seem to be ok the best we can tell. They are spending a lot more time real close to the house, like on the front porch lol.

I’m so sorry about Buddy, Christy. I grew up around goats so I know how they become our beloved pets. 😢 Sending love. 💕

Oh Christy, my heart is breaking for you, Lee and your kids. Losing an adored pet by violence is dreadful and to be in the middle of it gut wrenching. I am so very sorry that this happened to your Buddy. Furious that it seems the dog owner allowed them to be off leash and not contained on their property. The experience with being the responder for both brother and sister would indeed be so hard to come to terms with given the circumstances. And I can only imagine how the confluence of events would leave you feeling. I hope telling us has helped and I feel privileged that you felt comfortable to share this with us.❤

We haven’t seen the other dog again, so hopefully it doesn’t come back. Lee did get the fence around the pen fixed so I feel better about that.

That’s so sad about Buddy and I’m so sorry!! A pit bull mauled and killed my mother almost 20 years ago, and being a dog lover my entire life, it took many months before I was able to pet another dog, yet it wasn’t the dogs fault. It was the owner and he did get 12 years for manslaughter. He died in prison and his wife died 9 months after my mother was killed. Stress they said. Anyway I didn’t mean to go there and I hope things get back to normal soon!! Sending Love ❤ and Hugs 🥰 to you and Lee!

Yep. I was financially ruined after two airmed flights (both in nine months) . Last one cost 80k! Thank you for your consideration. BTW - a Christian coming after you speaks volumes about them.

I had a call to a family farm, their small child had falled off a wagon, I believe. The child sustained a head injury with a large head lac, and was only responsive to painful stimuli. I mentioned I was going to call for a helicopter. The dad told me they can't pay for a helicopter, please don't call them, can you take her. He asked in such a nice manner in a horrible situation for him. I grew up on a farm, I understood. We drove her the 35 miles to the trauma center. Where we were at, the time it took for a helicopter to get to us, treat pt, and fly back wouldve been a similar eta.

What does Moe do when he gets close to you? Btw, I’m glad that I got to see him walking around 🤗.

He’s bad about pushing up against me and cutting me off making it hard to keep my balance. He likes to bully me a little bit- I used to have to carry a stun gun into the pen years ago because he would head butt my knees.

I have a question for you. If I come across someone on the street who may be suffering heat stroke, who should I call? Someone I know recently came across someone lying on the street and called 911. They took their time coming and police interfered in multiple ways. This was not someone with a criminal history by the way. Hospital emergency let the police put him back on the streets because he was homeless. This man did not admit himself, he was in too bad of shape to be able to do so. Should I have a list of phone numbers to private ambulance services or if possible take the person to emergency if I can do so? Any input is appreciated. I’m speaking in hypotheticals so this is a request for general suggestions only. I cannot leave a person lying on the ground for 30 minutes without medical intervention as needed. I do have training in basic techniques but it’s not at all my expertise. Also, if this person is found in a wooded area not near a city, then what? I’m just wondering what you would do coming from your perspective. I’ve been able to save lives due to spotting something almost imperceptible that was life threatening but I’m not trained in paramedic or emergency room efforts. I’ve done my part many, many times to garner proper assistance but only by using medical interventional help. Changing topics: I’m thinking about the 2 of you and your own healing.

Honestly the only thing you really can do is call 911. I’m not sure why the police showed up on a medical call, though.

@@littletraumamama exactly. I wasn’t there but I saw the video. Basically the call gets routed through the police when 911 is called. I’m going to call some more private companies in the area and make a list for emergencies for myself and others.

CPR is one of the most important things to learn. I'm glad that I was taught when I was in high school. I know how hard it is to perform CPR on your partner. I saved Dave's life many times over 14 years till the last time when he went into arterial fibulation, and passed away 45 minutes later. I was shocked that they sent an ambulance without a defibrillator when the 911 operator was told that he had a serious heart condition. Have a great day my friend ❤️🙂⚘️🤗.

@@littletraumamama It happened September 23rd, 2014. The paramedic asked if we had a home defibrillator. I said no, but the thing is we didn't just have Paramedics, but also firemen, and police officers, and they just all stood there instead of driving 2 blocks to get one.

And this is for “all the Christians in your comments” remember what the Bible says: that’s right! So judge not, that’s Not Our Job!! That job belongs to God Only!! Love one another!!
