OK Traxxas, you guys really have produced something incredible here. I was around when the Revo 2.5 came out, then the XMAXX, now this? You guys really have hit it out of the park with this one. If it's durable, then people will be all over this beast. I'm a lifelong RC'er 28 years and counting, this is one of those things that really impress. Keep up the good work! Can't wait to review one!

Anyone else thinking Traxxas killed it with the solid rear axle here?!?! I ask this because of my old Yeti XL. Just take a look at how the Yeti XL runs in the video Axial put up, when it was brand new. You see that rear axle making the XL a total handful to control, especially when it bottoms out and the Yeti wants to front flip! Also there's that insane 3 wheel action when you tag the throttle!!! This truck running full sway bars and duel shocks, even though it's sum what of a tank, looks totally dialed in, right out of the box!!! I ♡ Traxxas!!!!! ;)

I've beaten the hell out of my Slash Ultimate. Even ran it into one of those public garbage bins that's bolted to the ground, judged distance wrong. All it broke was an A-arm. Flew it into a tree at full tilt. Again just a broken A-arm. Numerous head-on hits to curbs with no appreciable damage. Traxxis chassis are remarkably strong. Honeycomb reinforcement all over.

Infinite RC, I'm only comparing the fact that it's running I.F.S. front and 4 link rear suspension. I totally agree theses two rigs are nothing alike!!!

@@randalfernandez2913 Nah, I grew up with the slash, earlier gen's in fact when the antenna still stuck out of the body. I've just been waiting for a scale body and suspension setup of a Trophy Truck vs just all independent suspension. Plus the slash is more scale to Pro 2 / Pro 4 short course trucks. This was aimed directly towards Trophy Trucks which is my cup of tea in off-road 😄

I first saw this when I was 9. I got it for Christmas that year and now I’ve had it for two years. It has sat in storage for a bit and now I have gotten parts to update it. Love it, best truck. 10/10 recommend.

I love how axial and other brands spend years and years trying to develop a trophy style truck and then Traxxas comes with a trophy truck out of the blue wich crushes all the other brands

This is, hands down, the best rendition of a trophy truck I've ever seen on the market in this hobby. This reminds me a lot of the ThunderTech truck, just a whole lot better. I own the Yeti TT, and I freaking love that thing, but this blows it away. This isn't copying anything. Except a full-scale truck. And it's done it better than any other offering thus far.

To take a look at Losi's truck they just came out with it a few months ago and it's almost an exact copy of this. They are both awesome trucks it seems but Losi was the first at this game.

It's tough to include Axial in this gig. Losi's Baja Rey maybe, but the Yeti Score is fundamentally a reshelled Yeti RR and lacks a lot of the scale gimmicks this and the Baja Rey have. Of course this wins on scale, well except for lofton's truck being all wrong here. Some decals and paint work to make the details pop, there seems to be space for a more realistic interior setup, add some LEDs, window nets, etc. it's a pretty exciting opportunity ahead. Well, except it being $1000cad from my LHS :S

Looks like this rig is about a half pound heavier than the Yeti XL. And considering that it running twin tires on the trunk, that's pretty awesome!!! It's also running 8 Shocks, so this U.D.R. is actually fairly light weight considering!!!

Flying Theropy same I really like that the traxxas comes with 2 spares. Dual shocks and I like the white fox bod as it is. Also traxxas always has parts. Losi has back orders time to time..but the baja rey was proven good by lots of people and it's also 3 inches longer and wider. Dam it's a hard choice lol

Don't take me wrong. I LOVE may Slash 4x4 3s truck set up on AVC Spectrum.. . Love Traxxas stuff. But a truck this big and price. I don't like the no adjustments can be made on steering or front end. 8 shocks to me is just 4 extra ones to maintain or extra one per side to replace in a bad crash. ( due to were and how my son and I run ). We live in WI so not many sand area's. Most runs are in grassy lumpy area's. I do like the way the electronics are between the chassy plates among a few other items. Making a Pro's and Con's list for both trucks. lol

Think of it this way. Losi is exclusively sold by Horizon, meaning you will only find parts at Horizon dealers. Traxxas is sold by everyone. Even some big-box stores like Target. Parts availability, and probably aftermarket support, will be hugely in favor of the Traxxas. I give it 6 months after this truck is released, you'll be able to build one from the ground up without a single OEM Traxxas part on it. That's how all Traxxas products go. The aftermarket support is enormous. Losi? Not so much. Not since the Mini-T.
