I have a few different repairs here. A boiler that stopped working after bleeding the radiators and how I fix the customers Heating and Hot Water for them. This is the gallo gun I talked about amzn.to/48T1Byy
An Oil Boiler that keeps locking out and sooting up causing No Heating and Hot Water. An emergency repair on a seized 2" double reg valve that I have loads of problem with and a dangerously installed Unvented Hot water cylinder that needs replacement before it kills people.
This channel is to help engineers fix boilers. I try and teach boiler repair for the betterment of the UK gas industry. The better we are the more work we get.
Common UK boiler brands such as Vaillant, Ideal, Worcester and Baxi all have more obscure models and this is one of them.
Unlike the USA, our boilers are all high efficiency and more technology makes for harder diagnosis.
For videos on Burnham, Weil-Mclain, Peerless and Lochinvar find a US Channel.
I typed all that for better keyword and YT ratings. Lets see!!
Here are a few affiliate links to some of the stuff I use everyday.

Nice one. I’ve got one of those pumps and as you said it should be using way more than 8 watts set on setting 3. Mine pumps a hell of a lot of water round on that setting and pulls about 45watts according to the display on the front. Going to rig up a distance sensor to the water and have it monitored by my home assistant set up so it alarms me when it’s less than or more than a certain amount.

The warranty of the cylinder will niw be voided because theres a clip being screwed on the surface. @julianhawker7672
@julianhawker7672 8 месяцев назад
Its not uncommon to see a small amount of air bubbles in a wallstar clear flexi, even if theres no air leaks on the supply! 11.5 is a bit near the knuckle for co2 on that, in the real world! I would not go beyond 11, remember that ambient air temp in winter is much cooler and in boiling hot summer on DHW that co2 will rise and bring you near the danger zone for a soot-up. After a soot up: You might see a slight yellow tinge on your smoke paper, this will disappear in a few days, If I have any doubts , I will slightly over air and return in a few days to reset combustion properly once the last of the crud has burned off and paper is clean. HTH, as i've learned some usefull gas stuff off you. 👍
@HeatingGeek
@HeatingGeek 8 месяцев назад
I know the newer Elco burners (low Nox)require you to set using ambient air temps. Do you use a table from them of just knock 0.5% off?
@julianhawker7672
@julianhawker7672 8 месяцев назад
@@HeatingGeek 0.5% is a good rule of thumb if manufacturer doesn't spec in literature. Im not a big fan of the Elco but they do seem to burn very clean. I have the old Brigon slide rule in my oil kit box, this is a hold-over from "wet kit" days before electronic measurement came in (yes I've been playing this game a long time....) Its handy to compensate for outside temps and it even does stack loss. HTH.
