RE: Cap's shield bouncing: you need to remember that the shield wasn't originally made of vibranium in Marvel canon. It was an adamantium alloy that also contained vibranium in some writers' minds. The problem developed when Marvel didn't have the rights use Adamantium in in the movies, so they switched it to vibranium solely and kept the shield bouncing thing because it's traditionally something Cap can do in the comic books.
@JonCapuchino
@JonCapuchino 3 года назад
in the MCU, while they don’t say it is directly, Cap’s shield is a vibranium/steel alloy, Howard Stark didnt acquire enough vibranium outside of Wakanda to do anything with it, so naturally they combined it with the second strongest metal on hand, steel, thus reversing the effect of the vibranium - which is seen most use in Black Panther - but still retaining the metal’s otherworldly durability
@toddkes5890

I figure the shield metal is 'aligned' so that impact is diverted to the edges. Impacts across the face of the shield are diverted to the edge, while impacts to the edge are reflected back

Perhaps it might have something to do with the spin... instead of simply dissipating the vibration, it kind of redirects it...?

Keep in mind that the MCU shield is severely nerfed from its comic version. The MCU shield has taken hits from The Hulk without budging and still ricochetes, while The MCU shield took a hit from a grenade launcher and blew Cap across a building.

Concerning false memories, I have an ager management issue and am on medication to help regulate it. I was always terrified of my own actions without the meds because I clearly (and still recall) recall getting into an arguement with my brother when I was 15 and throwing knives at him. When I was in my forties, my mother found old recordings of the Halloween party I recalled with such regret and terror. We watched it and I had thrown BUTTER at him. Not knives, just a stick of butter. But, I always thought, and still recall, it being knives. I still have the distinct memory of knives. So, yes, it's easy to gain false memories, not so easy to break them once you have them.

The reason why caps shield bounces off stuff is because it absorbs the vibrations and than instantly redirects it unlike the black panther suit which was specifically engineered by Shuri to be able to store those vibrations within the suit for redirection later so caps shield absorbs the vibrations and redirects those vibrations towards the object it originally hit then pushing in the opposite front where it was thrown.

I assume the wings are there to help provide or maintain lift, similar to why planes have wings or why birds have wings. The wings themselves are made of carbon fiber which I have been lead believe is strong but also lightweight, which could explain why it’s able to carry the weight of two people. Falcon himself was originally a pilot and part of the pararescue division of the military. Being up in the air so many times in his life, I would imagine his body has built a tolerance for high altitudes and thin air. I hope this has helped answer your questions about the Falcon, one of my favorite Marvel characters.

When there's in impact there are 2 energy transfers, the shield transferring its energy to the wall and the wall transferring its energy to the shield. The thing with Vibranium is that it absorbs vibrations directed at it, so the energy transferred from the wall to the shield gets absorbs but the energy transferred from the shield to the wall doesn't get absorb by the shield and thus will bounce. Also that explanation is perfect for a property of science called perfect elastic collision in which the object conserves momentum and kinetic energy with a collision.

The more you talked about the arm, the more I started to question it. I believe you when you say it's possible, but my problem is if your body can actually handle an arm that can do all that stuff. If your metal arm can carry tons of weight, won't the human parts of your body give out before you can actually carry it? If you punch someone with the arm and they get flung forward, won't you also get flung backwards? I'm not an expert in physics by any stretch of the imagination, but I was just wondering if a prosthetic like that would actually be as useful as in the movies.

@@frodobaggins2852 Bucky got dosed when he was a prisoner. That's why he was in the lab. They were experimenting on him. It didn't fully activate until he fell, the trauma was enough to trigger it. That's how he survived. Russians found him and kept him alive. I don't think the movies ever say exactly when they made him the arm and used reprogramming to turn him into an assassin, and I'm not familiar with the comics. The 5 soldiers in Civil War were made using a Soviet version developed from what Bucky stole when he killed Stark's mother and father. That version made them even more powerful, but also far less mentally stable. I think the movies did briefly bring up the experiments in the Hydra lab and that Bucky was given a version of the serum, but I don't think it ever states how he compares to Cap's abilities. From the fighting in the movie he seems to be on par with Cap, possibly even stronger, with the arm giving him a distinct advantage. If I had to guess, I'd say that Bucky is probably stronger than Cap, particularly the cyber-arm, and maybe tougher. Cap, I think, is probably faster. But that could just be that they use different fighting styles and Bucky is programmed to ignore pain when he's in full Winter Solider mode. Cap was also probably holding back when they fought because he was trying to get through to Bucky, so that could have also created the impression that Bucky is stronger and tougher.

Falcon uses "stolen" Stark repulsor tech. They show it when he shows Cap the blueprint. The government and SHIELD in the MCU and comics are constantly trying to replicate IronMan type tech, from Falcon suits, Mandroids... etc. Also, Caps Shield in the comics is actually a one of a kind metal that was an attempt to recreate Adamantium. It's explained that it can store and release energy in a unique way. He can block bullets with it, store that energy and then throw it and that energy will feed into the bounces making it bounce much harder than he actually threw it. Marvel didn't have access to the Mutants and Adamantium... so... Vibranium.

One thing I would say about the metal arm. As that while all strength based functions you perform with just that arm would obviously be extremely heightened, like your fingers would essentially be a vice, and you could lay down and curl 2 thousand pounds. It wouldn't help you much in terms of over-all strength. Like if someone captain america throws an atlas stone at you, just having that arm doesnt mean you can catch it. Because any force that impact would produce would have to travel through you into the ground somehow. And if you were to do any kind of full body lift or feat, the arm wouldn't help you as much as you think since your legs still have to do most of the work. Also that arm would weigh a fuckton, it seems to be almost completely made of metal. Which would completely lobside your body. The only reason bucky can throw it around and perform these crazy feats is because he's a super soldier. So his whole body is strong enough to match the forces the arm can produce.

Fury's injury: My theory on detecting Fury's injuries involves a continuous, low pulse of sound. Ultrasound is able to detect and image things beneath the skin. If the car is always ultrasound-ing the driver, it will know immediately if anything categorized as an injury occurs. Cap's shield: Absorbed or negated? I'm not an expert and am just spitballing here, but shouldn't impact come with a rebound? The shield hits, sending force into the wall. The wall rebounds it. Nothing truly negates impact, so the rebound will make the shield bounce. Every action creates an equal and opposite reaction and all that jazz. Meanwhile, the shield IS dissipating the impacts, so it will have a limited number of times it can bounce. However, the energy can't just vanish, so the shield will still be resonating with it accordingly. My phone: Music player first. Occasional google searcher. If bugs me endlessly to let it know my location for emergency purposes, and I ignore it. I don't make calls with it. You might be able to tell something from my Eris background and my notifications of Pica ( One Piece) screaming and Tiny Tina singing "Pop Goes The Bandit", though. Falcon's wings: In Civil War, Spiderman hindered Falcon by webbing up his exhaust, so it may be an advanced thruster that intakes air all around him before expelling it at high speeds. As for his wings, Spiderman did ask if they were carbon fiber. I'm more interested in how they would move and flex, but they could be reading his muscle movements to determine how to operate. As you move, your muscles ripple minutely. Ultrasound may be able to image that, too, and a specialized mapping software might be able to tie muscle movements to wing commands. Heli-carriers: Somehow, I don't think satellites can lock onto and shoot one million people at a time. That was the primary purpose of the Triskelion Formation. Hydra was going to use them to murder all possible enemies worldwide, a million at a time. Targeting someone from space may be possible to do with a bullet, but the bullet could easily miss over such a range and consider the velocity of firing a bullet from orbit. A million shots at a time, each that can easily miss, striking with such a force could cause untold damage.

actually i think the shield bounces because the fact that its really... bouncy? like my explanation is that whenever the shield absorbs vibrations, its send it back out. if you shoot at it with a bullet, the bullet will go back with almost the same velocity, thats why in one of the scenes he is able to reflect back the minigun shots. so if you 'shoot' (throw) the shield at something, its reflects back. how it comes back to cap well in the comics, he just practiced and practiced for years to perfect it. and sam(falcon) is also shown practicing in the falcon and winter soldier trailer

As far as Cap's shield bouncing, wouldn't the fact that it's round and spinning play a role with the laws of motion? Seems to me that even if it absorbed impacts, that it would still need to bounce off objects as long as it's still moving. Add in Cap's higher strength when he throws it, with spin (like a football or bullet), it's creating it's own inertia as well. I could be wrong, but it just seems to me like it would at least be a contributing factor. As for Widow saying it would take 9 minutes for them to be found, that's for tracking their location, getting to the location, finding them in the mall and spotting them. Since Cap had asked how long will it take for them to find us, not how long will it take for them to track the signal, this is most logical answer.

@@parychahal If vibranium absorbers vibrations, why doesn't it heat up, deform or does it just dissapete the vibrations equally around the shield?
@parychahal
@parychahal 4 года назад
@@walangchahangyelingden8252 I believe the vibrations are dissipated equally around the shield. You asked a very question tho...does the shield ever heat up? It takes a high temperature for most metals to get really hot, I'd imagine vibranium has a higher melting point, and if the shield is an alloy then it's really strong and prob won't heat up easily. If his shield is a vibranium alloy then it's stronger the pure vibranium

It’s probably not realistic, but Bucky does somehow have a sense of touch in his arm. We see this in Civil War, when he feels and weighs the blueberries in his hand, and he can control the strength in it, depending on the situation and what he feels in his hand, considering he can go from soft touches to punching steel doors in.

The Hellicarriers have the same power source as Iron Man but on a MUCH larger scale. That's why they don't need a physical fuel source. Granted the energy source of Arc Reactor technology doesn't actually exist, but it is based on tesseract technology, or the Space Stone.

To do with the captain american shield bouncing off, I believe its similar to the black panther suit, the shield absorbs all vibrations and distributes it therefore the shield bounces off whatever surface it hits as soon as it hits it, the difference with the suit and shield is that the suit stores the energy and releases it when the user wants to

I think with the Arnim Zola scene they were tryna say that essentially they made a copy of his ‘brain’ I guess at the time so technically it’s not him as his conscious is gone but it’s the closest thing to his physical brain so I guess his work can continue. Although it doesn’t explain how the hell he would be creative and come up with new ideas without a conscience lol.

The mechanic's corrolary. The more information your car can tell you about mechanical failures, the more likely it will have an electrical one. Also, i think the helicarriers are possible, but they're not tactically advantageous. More along the lines of show of force and psychological warfare.

3:32 It’s possible because in the marvel universe vibrainium may absorb all the kinetic energy but it also has to discard that energy as well we see this in black panther, endgame, infinity war, and so on. I hypothesize that he uses that discharge to propel the shield back to him which gives another reason why it can’t cancel out other vibrainium objects like the winter soldiers arm and Black Panthers Suit

In the comics caps shield in made of a vibranium adamantium alloy. Though vibranium absorbs energy adamantium doesn't. But adamantium is nearly indestructible. Which is why they chose the two metals. Adamantium for durability vibranium for partial energy absorption

maybe it has different propperties when its hit as a shield liket the actual shield then it has some kind of alloy around the edges in order to bounce but still absorb impact when used as protection. Also it may be possible the drive had some sort of software that could fend off any locating or seeing who it was or what the info was from the wifi provider and it wasn't their computer so it wasn't untill they plugged in that it would've been possible to keep their identity secret for a few mins.

I can explain that, the captain america shield is not actually fully vibranium it's mixed with vibranium, if you look closely at the shield there are rings circling around the shield, those are actually vibranium rings. So when he throws the shield with enough force considering this is captain america throwing it, when the metal bends the vibranium snaps it back to the way it was.

Seeing as SHEILD has so many smart agents that are so advanced in missions, cases, ect Nat is probably hypothesizing how much time it will take for someone to get through all the security systems and things that make the laptop she's using untraceable.

Storing your mind on a device is a fascinating concept to me , from my perspective (not learned any kind of science but into it) you could totally pull it off , it would take a lot of time to make the software and store every detail about you like memories , traits , ticks etc. but after it's all done and your mind is in that device , it is you but not at the same time , you will die when the time comes but the mind you created will still exist and you can't see it anymore...2 am thinking right here while watching a bunch of your videos.

Perhaps there's a trigger when the car experiences high impacts to do some kind of xray, or multiple small xrays from various positions. (The image on the screen that's screen wouldn't necessarily have to be of those images, but just have the injury mapped into it) The only way I could think of a way to hand wave the shield either bouncing or absorbing and dissipating all kinetic energy is if the vibranium shield has a crystalline structure that behaves differently depending on the direction of incidence (and then stop thinking about it). Say force at the normal to the face of the shield dissipates, and anything at the normal to the rim is amplified. That doesn't explain why cap lands striking the ground with the rim to disperse some of his kinetic energy though... Either way there's no mention of any of this, so it's probably just marvel magic or something.

it maybe depends on the shields edges being an alloy of different materials? so his shield up front takes kinetic energy, and edges has different quality?

Similar to how a traditional aircraft carrier abroad can quickly deploy military air power to an unfolding skirmish, the Helicarrier concept takes it to the next level as it probably has a faster cruising speed and wouldn't be limited by land barriers to reach its destination. Back in the 1970's, Boeing worked with the USAF on the 747-AAC variation that had an underbelly of 10 Boeing Model 985-121 "microfighters" that could launch, retrieve, re-arm, and refuel the fighters which means flexible air power and not hoping ground troops needing air support could get it only because of a nearby air base. Realistically, I think a blimp-like Helicarrier would be more feasible (similar to the refueling air blimp from the movie Stealth-2005). Speaking of which, you should do a reaction video to Stealth (2005); lots of engineering material to cover there....and Jessica Biel!
