Yeah the petrification specifics are going to be delved into WAY more in the later half of the season ! It's kind of crazy how deep Dr stone's thought processes go in the manga ! Many fiction works often overlook certain details because of story purposes but in dr stone that's often NOT the case. Many scientific inaccuracies are often times addressed later in the manga and clarified ! The manga does it's own mythbusting and I'm here for it !
Byakuya adopted Senku. They’re legally father and son. That comes up in season 1. Since he adopted his friends kid, maybe that friend died or was not able to take care of Senku? It must have been when he was still very young since Byakuya had to tell him about the relationship.
i don't think it being on you makes you immune, but throwing it up with precision to hit after would be a quick release. and senku is indeed adopted. byakuyas friends died and he took care of senku.
Pary, thank you for this journey! There must be at least 11 new episodes there in October, so I will looking forward for your new reaction for Dr. Stone! And, no, nodody has immune to petrification.
regarding the petrification beam vs revival fluid: "diving into a pool of revival fluid would provide ten billion percent protection from the petrification beam, though bathing in nitric acid would kill a person anyway."
Since I see no other comment answered the side note, yep "nezumi" is rat in japanese jsjsjs. Also, "Sen" from Senku's name means 1000, and Byakuya's "byaku" is 100, "Ishi" from Ishigami means stone and "gami" stands for 'God', and the list continues jsjsjs don't know if you noticed Gen's play on words, when he says "bai-ya!" he's alternating syllables, the actual word is "yabai", and the same happens with other common expressions he uses: "doi-hi" instead of hidoi, "goi-su" from "sugoi", etc.
Yes, that’s correct! And just to add more info: Senku’s kanji are 千(“sen”, one thousand) and 空 (“kuu”, sky). So it could mean “one thousand skies”. Byakuya’s kanji are 百 (“byaku”, one hundred) and 夜 (“ya”, night). So it could mean “one hundred nights”.
I appreciate the dedication to react to dr stone since s1.. ❤ thank you for this content! Everytime I've watched an episode, I'd search on yt if you've somehow uploaded a reaction hihi.. And yeah, I kinda agree with the other comment saying about your reaction to the story itself, not just the science stuff.. i truly enjoy the science-y stuff tho.. But i would love to see you react about the plot too.. (this episode made me cry 😭 Byakuya is not doubt the best dad in anime 😭❤)
Byakuya is literally the best dad in all of anime. Man trusted his son will fix everything and gave his entire life to find things that works help his son.
As a manga reader I'll be happy to spoil something if you allow me that is. Just ask anything 😃. Or if you're curious about what's gonna happen next go to chapter 116 of the manga.
I actually have a huge hypothesis about the entire series from the manga and anime. Especially, when it comes to who Senku's biological father is, and who is truly responsible for the petrification beam event, and why.
@@LucLightWolf121 That's a good guess, before the manga ends many have actually guessing who exactly is why-man and but sad to say none of them guess it right but they are closer.
@user-oq7uw3km9p I deduced a simple answer as to who or what Why-Man is about a year ago. But to talk about it now would be spoiling things. Let's just say that DR. STONE is stuck in a closed time loop for a reason. And Senku as always is playing 4D chess while everyone else, other than a certain elegant scientist yet to be revealed, are playing checkers.
First comment and my offer to answer any question about the series as I have read the manga and yes, the series' story ended like 2 years ago. It can be about any from the series and if its a spoiler, ill put a warning.
@The Gold Life, as a freebie, in the manga while not totally immunity but possible a hack, senku makes a watch-like device with a timer to break a small vial of revival fluid on his wrist just in case of pertification. If you want something else spoiled or you really just wanna know something just ask :).
I feel like while yes if you had the solution on you on all times it would work but also im pretty sure that solution is nital wich i dont think is safe to have on your skin all the time
Well, even if they will become essentially immunte to the beam, there is a greater problem with manpower. This island probably has hundreds of people, there is no way they can simply overpower them, even with superior tech. They might need to use the petrification grenades themselves.
Now thinking about it...why did senku even started that hum and (can't remember blond girl name from the village) that they wouldn't be related since so many generation has pass but in reality it wouldn't matter since the father (astronaut) isn't his real father to begin with?
I'd be down for a spargazing vlog, eventhough I wouldn't benefit from it since I'm not from the US Edit: About the specifics of "petrification immunity", later in this season Senku will say that if you dipped a finger in nitric acid, everything but the finger would be petrified, and it would just kinda fall off. If you jumped into a pool of nitric acid, you'd be immune to the petrification, but also dead because you jumped in nitric acid. So it's not that easy, unfortunately. Also, I'd love you to react to the story more and not just the science, I think seeing your reactions to that would be really cool, especially for the final big reveal of the show, but it'll take a while to get there.
6:20 You need a fair amount of the revival fluid for it to work. Like maybe 200~ ml of the stuff. So yes, making yourself "immune" to petrification is possible with a little creativity.
Manga spoiler that you asked for. So let's say a finger was currently touching nital while being petrified. The issue is it might just prevent that one part of you from not being stone along with the rest of your body. And that means goodbye finger. What they do know is being exposed after being petrified causes a cascade reaction freezing your whole body.
As people have said your question on petrification immunity will be answered later on. The mechanics of the revival fluid & petrification are important to the story (to an extent anyway). See you in October
