Just found your channel! I moved to Davenport, IA from Chicago, IL in 2021 and have not looked back since. The people are SO friendly, downtown is so underrated but will be amazing if built up, and I live in the West end. Homes are very much affordable here! ❤
Thank you! You'll love the next video coming out tomorrow. I went to the farmers market and interviewed locals in what their thoughts were of living in the area
Lived here in the Quad cities 4 years from Chicago burbs. Better? Yes. Rush hour traffic hah! Anywhere in 15 min. Airport. Free parking not Ohare. Neigborhoods. People walking kids playing. No place is perfect never was. Housing affordable.
I saw on another video that the Government Bridge is going to be closed for some sort of renovation. I think they are going to install a roundabout or something like that.
Idk. I just read up on Vander Veer park, and it says that is was modeled AFTER NY's Central Park. So it looks like they just took influences from it. Something interesting that I read, though, is that the land actually used to be the original fair grounds. That's interesting.
Btw, I was literally on an episode of Russell Brand's talk show (now canceled) when I lived in LA, and I guarantee you I don't think I'm more important than anyone. haha
@@LIVINGINTHEQUADCITIESSome famous people from Iowa include John Wayne, former President Herbert Hoover. So it’s not like there are no famous people from Iowa. Technically Ronald Reagan was not born in Iowa but his career started there. According to the Wikipedia there are a lot of famous people who were born in Iowa. Especially Bix Beiderbecke who was from Davenport and Buffalo Bill Cody who was from Leclair.
